Luke 20:1It happened on one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, that the chief priests and scribes came to him with the elders. And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him, with the elders,And it came to pass, that on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes, with the ancients, met together,
Luke 20:2They asked him, "Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?"And spoke to him, saying, Tell us, By what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority? And spoke to him, saying: Tell us, by what authority dost thou these things? or, Who is he that hath given thee this authority?
Luke 20:3He answered them, "I also will ask you one question. Tell me:And he answered and said to them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:And Jesus answering, said to them: I will also ask you one thing. Answer me:
Luke 20:4the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?"The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
Luke 20:5They reasoned with themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say, 'Why didn't you believe him?'And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?But they thought within themselves, saying: If we shall say, From heaven: he will say: Why then did you not believe him?
Luke 20:6But if we say, 'From men,' all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet."But if we say, From men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet. But if we say, Of men, the whole people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.
Luke 20:7They answered that they didn't know where it was from. And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.And they answered, that they knew not whence it was.
Luke 20:8Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."And Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things. And Jesus said to them: Neither do I tell thee by what authority I do these things.
Luke 20:9He began to tell the people this parable. "A man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time. Then he began to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. And he began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen: and he was abroad for a long time.
Luke 20:10At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty. And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard. Who, beating him, sent him away empty.
Luke 20:11He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty. And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty. And again he sent another servant. But they beat him also, and treating him reproachfully, sent him away empty.
Luke 20:12He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.And again he sent the third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.And again he sent the third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.
Luke 20:13The lord of the vineyard said, 'What will I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.'Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be when they see him they will reverence him. Then the lord of the vineyard said: What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be, when they see him, they will reverence him.
Luke 20:14But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.'But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.Whom when the husbandmen saw, they thought within themselves, saying: This is the heir, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
Luke 20:15They threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?So casting him out of the vineyard, they killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
Luke 20:16He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others." When they heard it, they said, "God forbid!"He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. Luke 20:18"Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whoever it falls on to dust."Whoever shall fall upon that stone, shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.Whosoever shall fall upon that stone, shall be bruised: and upon whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Luke 20:19The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him that very hour, but they feared the people for they knew He had spoken this parable against them. And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them. And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him the same hour: but they feared the people, for they knew that he spoke this parable to them.
Luke 20:20They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor. And they watched him, and sent forth spies, who should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him to the power and authority of the governor. And being upon the watch, they sent spies, who should feign themselves just, that they might take hold of him in his words, that they might deliver him up to the authority and power of the governor.

Luke 20:25He said to them, "Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."And he said to them, Render therefore to Cesar the things which are Cesar's, and to God the things which are God's.And he said to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's: and to God the things that are God's.

Luke 20:36For neither can they die any more, for they are like the angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
