| Luke 18:1 | He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, | He also taught them by a parable that they must always pray and never lose heart. | And he spake a parable unto them to the end that they ought always to pray, and not to faint; |
| Luke 18:2 | saying, "A certain judge was in a city, who didn't fear God, and didn't respect man. | "In a certain town," He said, "there was a judge who had no fear of God and no respect for man. | saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, and regarded not man: |
| Luke 18:3 | A widow was in that city, and she came often to him, saying, 'Defend me from my adversary!' | And in the same town was a widow who repeatedly came and entreated him, saying, "`Give me justice and stop my oppressor.' | and there was a widow in that city; and she came oft unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. |
