Genesis 6:1It happened, when men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,And it came to pass when mankind began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them,
Genesis 6:2that God's sons saw that men's daughters were beautiful, and they took for themselves wives of all that they chose.that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and took themselves wives of all that they chose.
Genesis 6:3Yahweh said, "My spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; yet will his days be one hundred twenty years."And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not always plead with Man; for he indeed is flesh; but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
Genesis 6:4The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God's sons came to men's daughters. They bore children to them: the same were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.In those days were the giants on the earth, and also afterwards, when the sons of God had come in to the daughters of men, and they had borne [children] to them; these were the heroes, who of old were men of renown.
Genesis 6:5Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of Man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart only evil continually.
Genesis 6:6Yahweh was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.And Jehovah repented that he had made Man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
Genesis 6:7Yahweh said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground; man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them."And Jehovah said, I will destroy Man, whom I have created, from the earth from man to cattle, to creeping things, and to fowl of the heavens; for I repent that I have made them.
Genesis 6:8But Noah found favor in Yahweh's eyes.But Noah found favour in the eyes of Jehovah.
Genesis 6:9This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.This is the history of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect amongst his generations: Noah walked with God.
Genesis 6:10Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.And Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Genesis 6:11The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was full of violence.
Genesis 6:12God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth.
Genesis 6:13God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me, for the earth is full of violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Genesis 6:14Make an ark of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ark, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.Make thyself an ark of gopher wood: [with] cells shalt thou make the ark; and pitch it inside and outside with pitch.
Genesis 6:15This is how you shall make it. The length of the ark will be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.And thus shalt thou make it: let the length of the ark be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
Genesis 6:16You shall make a roof in the ark, and to a cubit shall you finish it upward. You shall set the door of the ark in the side of it. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.A light shalt thou make to the ark; and to a cubit high shalt thou finish it above. And the door of the ark shalt thou set in its side: [with] a lower, second, and third [story] shalt thou make it.
Genesis 6:17I, even, I do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.For I, behold, I bring a flood of waters on the earth, to destroy all flesh under the heavens in which is the breath of life: everything that is on the earth shall expire.
Genesis 6:18But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt go into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
Genesis 6:19Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every [sort] shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep [them] alive with thee: they shall be male and female.
Genesis 6:20Of the birds after their kind, of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive.Of fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each shall go in to thee, to keep [them] alive.
Genesis 6:21Take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to you; and it will be for food for you, and for them.And take thou of all food that is eaten, and gather [it] to thee, that it may be for food for thee and for them.
Genesis 6:22Thus Noah did. According to all that God commanded him, so he did.And Noah did it; according to all that God had commanded him, so did he.
