| Matthew 2:1 | Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod, the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, | Now after the birth of Jesus, which took place at Bethlehem in Judaea in the reign of King Herod, excitement was produced in Jerusalem by the arrival of certain Magi from the east, | Now Jesus having been born in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, behold magi from the east arrived at Jerusalem, saying, |
| Matthew 2:2 | "Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him." | inquiring, "Where is the newly born king of the Jews? For we have seen his Star in the east, and have come here to do him homage." | Where is the king of the Jews that has been born? for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to do him homage. |
