| Matthew 8:1 | When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. | Upon descending from the hill country He was followed by immense crowds. | And when he had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. |
| Matthew 8:2 | Behold, a leper came to him and worshipped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." | And a leper came to Him, and throwing himself at His feet, said, "Sir, if only you are willing you are able to cleanse me." | And behold, a leper came up to [him] and did him homage, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me. |
| Matthew 8:3 | Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. | So Jesus put out His hand and touched him, and said, "I am willing: be cleansed." Instantly he was cleansed from his leprosy; | And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. |

Just say the word, and my servant will be healed. | "Sir," replied the Captain, "I am not a fit person to receive you under my roof: merely say the word, and my servant will be cured. | And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not fit that thou shouldest enter under my roof; but only speak a word, and my servant shall be healed. |

I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." | For I myself am also under authority, and have soldiers under me. | Matthew 8:10 | When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, "Most assuredly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in Israel. | Jesus listened to this reply, and was astonished, and said to the people following Him, "I solemnly tell you that in no Israelite have I found faith as great as this. | And when Jesus heard it, he wondered, and said to those who followed, Verily I say unto you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith. |

| Matthew 8:28 | When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed with demons met him there, coming forth out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man could pass by that way. | On His arrival at the other side, in the country of the Gadarenes, there met Him two men possessed by demons, coming from among the tombs: they were so dangerously fierce that no one was able to pass that way. | And there met him, when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding dangerous, so that no one was able to pass by that way. |

And they, going out, departed into the herd of swine; and lo, the whole herd [of swine] rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the waters. |
