Acts 12:1 | Now about that time, Herod the king put forth his hands to oppress some of the assembly. | Now, about that time, King Herod arrested certain members of the Church, in order to ill-treat them; | Now about that time, Herod the king stretched forth his hands to afflict certain of the church. |
Acts 12:2 | He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword. | and James, John's brother, he beheaded. | And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. |
