| Matthew 12:2 | But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him, "Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath." | But the Pharisees saw it and said to Him, "Look! your disciples are doing what the Law forbids them to do on the Sabbath." | and the Pharisees having seen, said to him, `Lo, thy disciples do that which it is not lawful to do on a sabbath.` |

| Matthew 12:5 | Or have you not read in the law, that on the Sabbath day, the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are guiltless? | And have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the Temple break the Sabbath without incurring guilt? | `Or did ye not read in the Law, that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple do profane the sabbath, and are blameless? |
