Matthew 13:1On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.And in that day Jesus, having gone forth from the house, was sitting by the sea,And that [same] day Jesus went out from the house and sat down by the sea.
Matthew 13:2Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.and gathered together unto him were many multitudes, so that he having gone into the boat did sit down, and all the multitude on the beach did stand,And great crowds were gathered together to him, so that going on board ship himself he sat down, and the whole crowd stood on the shore.
Matthew 13:3He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, "Behold, the farmer went forth to sow.and he spake to them many things in similes, saying: `Lo, the sower went forth to sow,And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow:
Matthew 13:4As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.and in his sowing, some indeed fell by the way, and the fowls did come and devour them,and as he sowed, some [grains] fell along the way, and the birds came and devoured them;
Matthew 13:5Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn't have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth.and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth, and immediately they sprang forth, through not having depth of earth,and others fell upon the rocky places where they had not much earth, and immediately they sprang up out of [the ground] because of not having [any] depth of earth,
Matthew 13:6When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.and the sun having risen they were scorched, and through not having root, they withered,but when the sun rose they were burned up, and because of not having [any] root were dried up;
Matthew 13:7Others fell on thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them:and others fell upon the thorns, and the thorns did come up and choke them,and others fell upon the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them;
Matthew 13:8and others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times, some sixty, and some thirty.and others fell upon the good ground, and were giving fruit, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.and others fell upon the good ground, and produced fruit, one a hundred, one sixty, and one thirty.
Matthew 13:9He who has ears to hear, let him hear."He who is having ears to hear let him hear.`He that has ears, let him hear.
Matthew 13:10The disciples came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"And the disciples having come near, said to him, `Wherefore in similes dost thou speak to them?`And the disciples came up and said to him, Why speakest thou to them in parables?
Matthew 13:11He answered them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.And he answering said to them that `To you it hath been given to know the secrets of the reign of the heavens, and to these it hath not been given,And he answering said to them, Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not given;
Matthew 13:12For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn't have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.for whoever hath, it shall be given to him, and he shall have overabundance, and whoever hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken from him.for whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall be caused to be in abundance; but he who has not, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
Matthew 13:13Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don't see, and hearing, they don't hear, neither do they understand.`Because of this, in similes do I speak to them, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor understand,For this cause I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear nor understand;
Matthew 13:14In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, 'By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:and fulfilled on them is the prophecy of Isaiah, that saith, With hearing ye shall hear, and ye shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see, and ye shall not perceive,and in them is filled up the prophecy of Esaias, which says, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and beholding ye shall behold and not see;
Matthew 13:15For this people's heart has grown callous, Their ears are dull of hearing, Their eyes they have closed; Or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their heart, And should turn again; And I would heal them.'for made gross was the heart of this people, and with the ears they heard heavily, and their eyes they did close, lest they might see with the eyes, and with the ears might hear, and with the heart understand, and turn back, and I might heal them.for the heart of this people has grown fat, and they have heard heavily with their ears, and they have closed their eyes as asleep, lest they should see with the eyes, and hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Matthew 13:16"But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.`And happy are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear,But blessed are *your* eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear;
Matthew 13:17For most assuredly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn't see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn't hear them.for verily I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men did desire to see that which ye look on, and they did not see, and to hear that which ye hear, and they did not hear.for verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous [men] have desired to see the things which ye behold and did not see [them], and to hear the things which ye hear and did not hear [them].
Matthew 13:18"Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.`Ye, therefore, hear ye the simile of the sower:*Ye*, therefore, hear the parable of the sower.
Matthew 13:19When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and doesn't understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.Every one hearing the word of the reign, and not understanding the evil one doth come, and doth catch that which hath been sown in his heart; this is that sown by the way.From every one who hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand [it], the wicked one comes and catches away what was sown in his heart: this is he that is sown by the wayside.
Matthew 13:20What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;`And that sown on the rocky places, this is he who is hearing the word, and immediately with joy is receiving it,But he that is sown on the rocky places this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,
Matthew 13:21yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.and he hath not root in himself, but is temporary, and persecution or tribulation having happened because of the word, immediately he is stumbled.but has no root in himself, but is for a time only; and when tribulation or persecution happens on account of the word, he is immediately offended.
Matthew 13:22What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.`And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, do choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.And he that is sown among the thorns this is he who hears the word, and the anxious care of this life, and the deceit of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
Matthew 13:23What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most assuredly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times, some sixty, some thirty."`And that sown on the good ground: this is he who is hearing the word, and is understanding, who indeed doth bear fruit, and doth make, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.`But he that is sown upon the good ground this is he who hears and understands the word, who bears fruit also, and produces, one a hundred, one sixty, and one thirty.
Matthew 13:24He set another parable before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,Another simile he set before them, saying: `The reign of the heavens was likened to a man sowing good seed in his field,Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens has become like a man sowing good seed in his field;

Where did this darnel come from?'`And the servants of the householder, having come near, said to him, Sir, good seed didst thou not sow in thy field? whence then hath it the darnel?And the bondmen of the householder came up and said to him, Sir, hast thou not sown good seed in thy field? whence then has it darnel?
Matthew 13:28He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and gather them up?'And he saith to them, A man, an enemy, did this; and the servants said to him, Wilt thou, then, [that] having gone away we may gather it up?And he said to them, A man [that is] an enemy has done this. And the bondmen said to him, Wilt thou then that we should go and gather it [up]?
Matthew 13:29But he said, 'No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel, you root up the wheat with them.`And he said, No, lest gathering up the darnel ye root up with it the wheat,But he said, No; lest [in] gathering the darnel ye should root up the wheat with it.
Matthew 13:30Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, "First, gather up the darnel, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn."'"suffer both to grow together till the harvest, and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the darnel, and bind it in bundles, to burn it, and the wheat gather up into my storehouse.`Suffer both to grow together unto the harvest, and in time of the harvest I will say to the harvestmen, Gather first the darnel, and bind it into bundles to burn it; but the wheat bring together into my granary.

Matthew 13:32which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."which less, indeed, is than all the seeds, but when it may be grown, is greatest of the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven do come and rest in its branches.`which is less indeed than all seeds, but when it is grown is greater than herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of heaven come and roost in its branches.
