Matthew 8:1When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.And when he came down from the mount, great multitudes did follow him,And when he had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
Matthew 8:2Behold, a leper came to him and worshipped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean."and lo, a leper having come, was bowing to him, saying, `Sir, if thou art willing, thou art able to cleanse me;`And behold, a leper came up to [him] and did him homage, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me.
Matthew 8:3Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.and having stretched forth the hand, Jesus touched him, saying, `I will, be thou cleansed,` and immediately his leprosy was cleansed.And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:4Jesus said to him, "See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."And Jesus saith to him, `See, thou mayest tell no one, but go, thyself shew to the priest, and bring the gift that Moses commanded for a testimony to them.`And Jesus says to him, See thou tell no man, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
Matthew 8:5When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him,And Jesus having entered into Capernaum, there came to him a centurion calling upon him,And when he had entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, beseeching him,
Matthew 8:6and saying, "Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented."and saying, `Sir, my young man hath been laid in the house a paralytic, fearfully afflicted,`and saying, Lord, my servant lies paralytic in the house, suffering grievously.
Matthew 8:7Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."and Jesus saith to him, `I, having come, will heal him.`And Jesus says to him, *I* will come and heal him.
Matthew 8:8The centurion answered, "Lord, I'm not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.And the centurion answering said, `Sir, I am not worthy that thou mayest enter under my roof, but only say a word, and my servant shall be healed;And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not fit that thou shouldest enter under my roof; but only speak a word, and my servant shall be healed.
Matthew 8:9For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."for I also am a man under authority, having under myself soldiers, and I say to this one, Go, and he goeth, and to another, Be coming, and he cometh, and to my servant, Do this, and he doth [it].`For *I* also am a man under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to this [one], Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my bondman, Do this, and he does it.
Matthew 8:10When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, "Most assuredly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in Israel.And Jesus having heard, did wonder, and said to those following, `Verily I say to you, not even in Israel so great faith have I found;And when Jesus heard it, he wondered, and said to those who followed, Verily I say unto you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith.
Matthew 8:11I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven,and I say to you, that many from east and west shall come and recline (at meat) with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the reign of the heavens,But I say unto you, that many shall come from [the] rising and setting [sun], and shall lie down at table with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens;
Matthew 8:12but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth."but the sons of the reign shall be cast forth to the outer darkness there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.`but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 8:13Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way. Let it be done for you as you as you have believed." His servant was healed in that hour.And Jesus said to the centurion, `Go, and as thou didst believe let it be to thee;` and his young man was healed in that hour.And Jesus said to the centurion, Go, and as thou hast believed, be it to thee. And his servant was healed in that hour.
Matthew 8:14When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying sick of a fever.And Jesus having come into the house of Peter, saw his mother-in-law laid, and fevered,And when Jesus had come to Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law laid down and in a fever;
Matthew 8:15He touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and served him.and he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose, and was ministering to them.and he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and served him.
Matthew 8:16When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick;And evening having come, they brought to him many demoniacs, and he did cast out the spirits with a word, and did heal all who were ill,And when the evening was come, they brought to him many possessed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were ill;
Matthew 8:17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."that it might be fulfilled that was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, `Himself took our infirmities, and the sicknesses he did bear.`so that that should be fulfilled which was spoken through Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases.
Matthew 8:18Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave the order to depart to the other side.And Jesus having seen great multitudes about him, did command to depart to the other side;And Jesus, seeing great crowds around him, commanded to depart to the other side.
Matthew 8:19A scribe came, and said to him, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go."and a certain scribe having come, said to him, `Teacher, I will follow thee wherever thou mayest go;`And a scribe came up and said to him, Teacher, I will follow thee whithersoever thou mayest go.
Matthew 8:20Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."and Jesus saith to him, `The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven places of rest, but the Son of Man hath not where he may lay the head.`And Jesus says to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven roosting-places; but the Son of man has not where he may lay his head.
Matthew 8:21Another of his disciples said to him, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."And another of his disciples said to him, `Sir, permit me first to depart and to bury my father;`But another of his disciples said to him, Lord, suffer me first to go away and bury my father.
Matthew 8:22But Jesus said to him, "Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead."and Jesus said to him, `Follow me, and suffer the dead to bury their own dead.`But Jesus said to him, Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.
Matthew 8:23When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him.And when he entered into the boat his disciples did follow him,And he went on board ship and his disciples followed him;
Matthew 8:24Behold, a great tempest arose in the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep.and lo, a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves, but he was sleeping,and behold, [the water] became very agitated on the sea, so that the ship was covered by the waves; but *he* slept.
Matthew 8:25They came to him, and woke him up, saying, "Save us, Lord! We are dying!"and his disciples having come to him, awoke him, saying, `Sir, save us; we are perishing.`And the disciples came and awoke him, saying, Lord save: we perish.
Matthew 8:26He said to them, "Why are you fearful, oh you of little faith?" Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.And he saith to them, `Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?` Then having risen, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm;And he says to them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then, having arisen, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:27The men marveled, saying, "What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"and the men wondered, saying, `What kind is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?`But the men were astonished, saying, What sort [of man] is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?
Matthew 8:28When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed with demons met him there, coming forth out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man could pass by that way.And he having come to the other side, to the region of the Gergesenes, there met him two demoniacs, coming forth out of the tombs, very fierce, so that no one was able to pass over by that way,And there met him, when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding dangerous, so that no one was able to pass by that way.
Matthew 8:29Behold, they cried out, saying, "What do we have to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?"and lo, they cried out, saying, `What to us and to thee, Jesus, Son of God? didst thou come hither, before the time, to afflict us?`And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Son of God? hast thou come here before the time to torment us?
Matthew 8:30Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding far away from them.And there was far off from them a herd of many swine feeding,Now there was, a great way off from them, a herd of many swine feeding;
Matthew 8:31The demons begged him, saying, "If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs."and the demons were calling on him, saying, `If thou dost cast us forth, permit us to go away to the herd of the swine;`and the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.
Matthew 8:32He said to them, "Go!" They came out, and went into the herd of pigs: and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the water.and he saith to them, `Go.` And having come forth, they went to the herd of the swine, and lo, the whole herd of the swine rushed down the steep, to the sea, and died in the waters,And he said to them, Go. And they, going out, departed into the herd of swine; and lo, the whole herd [of swine] rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the waters.
Matthew 8:33Those who fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, and what happened to those who were possessed with demons.and those feeding did flee, and, having gone to the city, they declared all, and the matter of the demoniacs.But they that fed them fled, and went away into the city and related everything, and what had happened as to those possessed by demons.
Matthew 8:34Behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged that he would depart from their borders.And lo, all the city came forth to meet Jesus, and having seen him, they called on [him] that he might depart from their borders.And behold, the whole city went out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they begged [him] to go away out of their coasts.
