| Acts 10:1 | Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, | And there was a certain man in Cesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion from a band called Italian, | And there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of that which is called the Italian band; |
| Acts 10:2 | a devout man, and one who feared God with all his house, who gave alms generously to the people, and always prayed to God. | pious, and fearing God with all his house, doing also many kind acts to the people, and beseeching God always, | A religious man, and fearing God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and always praying to God. |
