| Acts 10:1 | And there was a certain man in Cesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion from a band called Italian, | Now [there was] a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of the band called the Italian [band], | Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, the captain of the Italian band of the army; |
| Acts 10:2 | pious, and fearing God with all his house, doing also many kind acts to the people, and beseeching God always, | a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always. | A serious-minded man, fearing God with all his family; he gave much money to the poor, and made prayer to God at all times. |

| Acts 10:21 | and Peter having come down unto the men who have been sent from Cornelius unto him, said, `Lo, I am he whom ye seek, what [is] the cause for which ye are present?` | And Peter went down to the men, and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come? | And Peter went down to the men, and said, I am the man you are looking for: why have you come? |
| Acts 10:22 | And they said, `Cornelius, a centurion, a man righteous and fearing God, well testified to, also, by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy messenger to send for thee, to his house, and to hear sayings from thee.` | And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one that feareth God, and well reported of by all the nation of the Jews, was warned [of God] by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee. | And they said, Cornelius, a captain, an upright and God-fearing man, respected by all the nation of the Jews, had word from God by an angel to send for you to his house, and to give hearing to your words. |

| Acts 10:29 | therefore also without gainsaying I came, having been sent for; I ask, therefore, for what matter ye did send for me?` | wherefore also I came without gainsaying, when I was sent for. I ask therefore with what intent ye sent for me. | And so I came without question, when I was sent for. What then is your purpose in sending for me? |
| Acts 10:30 | And Cornelius said, `Four days ago till this hour, I was fasting, and [at] the ninth hour praying in my house, and, lo, a man stood before me in bright clothing, | And Cornelius said, Four days ago, until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel, | And Cornelius said, Four days from now I was in my house in prayer at the ninth hour; and I saw before me a man in shining clothing, |
| Acts 10:31 | and he said, Cornelius, thy prayer was heard, and thy kind acts were remembered before God; | and saith, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. | Who said, Cornelius, your prayer has come to the ears of God, and your offerings are kept in his memory. |
