Genesis 9:1 | And God blesseth Noah, and his sons, and saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth; | And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. | And God gave his blessing to Noah and his sons, and said, Be fertile, and have increase, and make the earth full. |
Genesis 9:2 | and your fear and your dread is on every beast of the earth, and on every fowl of the heavens, on all that creepeth on the ground, and on all fishes of the sea into your hand they have been given. | And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens; With all wherewith the ground teemeth, and all the fishes of the sea, into your hand are they delivered. | And the fear of you will be strong in every beast of the earth and every bird of the air; everything which goes on the land, and all the fishes of the sea, are given into your hands. |
Genesis 9:3 | Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole; | Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; As the green herb have I given you all. | Every living and moving thing will be food for you; I give them all to you as before I gave you all green things. |
Genesis 9:4 | only flesh in its life its blood ye do not eat. | But flesh with the life thereof, [which is] the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. | But flesh with the life-blood in it you may not take for food. |
Genesis 9:5 | `And only your blood for your lives do I require; from the hand of every living thing I require it, and from the hand of man, from the hand of every man`s brother I require the life of man; | And surely your blood, [the blood] of your lives, will I require; At the hand of every beast will I require it. And at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man. | And for your blood, which is your life, will I take payment; from every beast I will take it, and from every man will I take payment for the blood of his brother-man. |
Genesis 9:6 | whoso sheddeth man`s blood, by man is his blood shed: for in the image of God hath He made man. | Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: For in the image of God made he man. | Whoever takes a man's life, by man will his life be taken; because God made man in his image. |
Genesis 9:7 | And ye, be fruitful and multiply, teem in the earth, and multiply in it.` | And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. | And now, be fertile and have increase; have offspring on the earth and become great in number. |
Genesis 9:8 | And God speaketh unto Noah, and unto his sons with him, saying, | And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, | And God said to Noah and to his sons, |
Genesis 9:9 | `And I, lo, I am establishing My covenant with you, and with your seed after you, | And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; | Truly, I will make my agreement with you and with your seed after you, |
Genesis 9:10 | and with every living creature which [is] with you, among fowl, among cattle, and among every beast of the earth with you, from all who are going out of the ark to every beast of the earth. | and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you. Of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth. | And with every living thing with you, all birds and cattle and every beast of the earth which comes out of the ark with you. |
Genesis 9:11 | And I have established My covenant with you, and all flesh is not any more cut off by waters of a deluge, and there is not any more a deluge to destroy the earth.` | And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. | And I will make my agreement with you; never again will all flesh be cut off by the waters; never again will the waters come over all the earth for its destruction. |
Genesis 9:12 | And God saith, `This is a token of the covenant which I am giving between Me and you, and every living creature that [is] with you, to generations age-during; | And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: | And God said, This is the sign of the agreement which I make between me and you and every living thing with you, for all future generations: |
Genesis 9:13 | My bow I have given in the cloud, and it hath been for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth; | I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. | I will put my bow in the cloud and it will be for a sign of the agreement between me and the earth. |
Genesis 9:14 | and it hath come to pass (in My sending a cloud over the earth) that the bow hath been seen in the cloud, | And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud, | And whenever I make a cloud come over the earth, the bow will be seen in the cloud, |
Genesis 9:15 | and I have remembered My covenant which is between Me and you, and every living creature among all flesh, and the waters become no more a deluge to destroy all flesh; | and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. | And I will keep in mind the agreement between me and you and every living thing; and never again will there be a great flow of waters causing destruction to all flesh. |
Genesis 9:16 | and the bow hath been in the cloud, and I have seen it to remember the covenant age-during between God and every living creature among all flesh which [is] on the earth.` | And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. | And the bow will be in the cloud, and looking on it, I will keep in mind the eternal agreement between God and every living thing on the earth. |
Genesis 9:17 | And God saith unto Noah, `This [is] a token of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.` | And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. | And God said to Noah, This is the sign of the agreement which I have made between me and all flesh on the earth. |
Genesis 9:18 | And the sons of Noah who are going out of the ark are Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is father of Canaan. | And the sons of Noah, that went forth from the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. | And the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is the father of Canaan. |
Genesis 9:19 | These three [are] sons of Noah, and from these hath all the earth been overspread. | These three were the sons of Noah: and of these was the whole earth overspread. | These three were the sons of Noah and from them all the earth was peopled. |
Genesis 9:20 | And Noah remaineth a man of the ground, and planteth a vineyard, | And Noah began to be a husbandman, and planted a vineyard: | In those days Noah became a farmer, and he made a vine-garden. |
Genesis 9:21 | and drinketh of the wine, and is drunken, and uncovereth himself in the midst of the tent. | and he drank of the wine, and was drunken. And he was uncovered within his tent. | And he took of the wine of it and was overcome by drink; and he was uncovered in his tent. |
Genesis 9:22 | And Ham, father of Canaan, seeth the nakedness of his father, and declareth to his two brethren without. | And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. | And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father unclothed, and gave news of it to his two brothers outside. |
Genesis 9:23 | And Shem taketh Japheth also the garment, and they place on the shoulder of them both, and go backward, and cover the nakedness of their father; and their faces [are] backward, and their father`s nakedness they have not seen. | And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father. And their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. | And Shem and Japheth took a robe, and putting it on their backs went in with their faces turned away, and put it over their father so that they might not see him unclothed. |
Genesis 9:24 | And Noah awaketh from his wine, and knoweth that which his young son hath done to him, | And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done unto him. | And, awaking from his wine, Noah saw what his youngest son had done to him, and he said, |
Genesis 9:25 | and saith: `Cursed [is] Canaan, Servant of servants he is to his brethren.` | And he said, Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. | Cursed be Canaan; let him be a servant of servants to his brothers. |
Genesis 9:26 | And he saith: `Blessed of Jehovah my God [is] Shem, And Canaan is servant to him. | And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant. | And he said, Praise to the Lord, the God of Shem; let Canaan be his servant. |
Genesis 9:27 | God doth give beauty to Japheth, And he dwelleth in tents of Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.` | God enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant. | May God make Japheth great, and let his living-place be in the tents of Shem, and let Canaan be his servant. |
Genesis 9:28 | And Noah liveth after the deluge three hundred and fifty years; | And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. | And Noah went on living three hundred and fifty years after the great flow of waters; |
Genesis 9:29 | and all the days of Noah are nine hundred and fifty years, and he dieth. | And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: And he died. | all the years of his life were nine hundred and fifty: and he came to his end. |
