Exodus 36:1And Bezaleel, and Aholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whom Jehovah hath given wisdom and understanding to know to do every work of the service of the sanctuary, have done according to all that Jehovah commanded. So let Bezalel and Oholiab get to work, with every wise-hearted man to whom the Lord has given wisdom and knowledge, to do whatever is necessary for the ordering of the holy place, as the Lord has given orders.Beseleel, therefore, and Ooliab, and every wise man, to whom the Lord gave wisdom and understanding, to know how to work artificially, made the things that are necessary for the uses of the sanctuary, and which the Lord commanded.
Exodus 36:2And Moses calleth unto Bezaleel, and unto Aholiab, and unto every wise-hearted man in whose heart Jehovah hath given wisdom, every one whom his heart lifted up, to come near unto the work to do it.Then Moses sent for Bezalel and Oholiab, and for all the wise-hearted men to whom the Lord had given wisdom, even everyone who was moved by the impulse of his heart to come and take part in the work:And when Moses had called them, and every skilful man, to whom the Lord had given wisdom, and such as of their own accord had offered themselves to the making of the work,
Exodus 36:3And they take from before Moses all the heave-offering which the sons of Israel have brought in for the work of the service of the sanctuary to do it; and still they have brought in unto him a willing-offering morning by morning. And they took from Moses all the offerings which the children of Israel had given for the building of the holy place. And still they went on giving him more free offerings every morning. He delivered all the offerings of the children of Israel unto them. And while they were earnest about the work, the people daily in the morning offered their vows.
Exodus 36:4And all the wise men, who are doing all the work of the sanctuary, come each from his work which they are doing,Then the wise men, who were doing all the work of the holy place, came from their work;Whereupon the workmen being constrained to come,
Exodus 36:5and speak unto Moses, saying, `The people are multiplying to bring in more than sufficient for the service of the work which Jehovah commanded to make.`And said to Moses, The people are giving much more than is needed for the work which the Lord has given us orders to do.Said to Moses: The people offereth more than is necessary.
Exodus 36:6And Moses commandeth, and they cause a voice to pass over through the camp, saying, `Let not man or woman make any more work for the heave-offering of the sanctuary;` and the people are restrained from bringing,So Moses made an order and had it given out through all the tents, saying, Let no man or woman make any more offerings for the holy place. So the people were kept from giving more.Moses therefore commanded proclamation to be made by the crier's voice: Let neither man nor woman offer any more for the work of the sanctuary. And so they ceased from offering gifts,
Exodus 36:7and the work hath been sufficient for them, for all the work, to do it, and to leave. For the material they had was enough and more than enough for all the work which had to be done.Because the things that were offered did suffice, and were too much.
Exodus 36:8And all the wise-hearted ones among the doers of the work make the tabernacle; ten curtains of twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, [with] cherubs, work of a designer, he hath made them. Then all the expert workmen among them made the House with its ten curtains; of the best linen, blue and purple and red, they made them, with winged ones worked by expert designers. And all the men that were wise of heart, to accomplish the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of twisted fine linen, and violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, with varied work, and the art of embroidering:
Exodus 36:9The length of the one curtain [is] eight and twenty by the cubit, and the breadth of the one curtain four by the cubit; one measure [is] to all the curtains.Every curtain was twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide, all of the same measure. The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth four: all the curtains were of the same size.
Exodus 36:10And he joineth the five curtains one unto another, and the [other] five curtains he hath joined one unto another; And five curtains were joined together, and the other five curtains were joined together. And he joined five curtains, one to another, and the other five he coupled one to another.
Exodus 36:11and he maketh loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain, at the end, in the joining; so he hath made in the edge of the outmost curtain, in the joining of the second; And they put twists of blue cord on the edge of the outside curtain of the first group, and in the same way on the outside curtain of the second group. He made also loops of violet in the edge of the curtain on both sides, and in the edge of the other curtain in like manner,
Exodus 36:12fifty loops he hath made in the one curtain, and fifty loops hath he made in the end of the curtain which [is] in the joining of the second; the loops are taking hold one on another.Fifty twists on the one curtain and fifty on the edge of the curtain of the other group; the twists being opposite to one another. That the loops might meet on against another, and might be joined each with the other.
Exodus 36:13And he maketh fifty hooks of gold, and joineth the curtains one unto another by the hooks, and the tabernacle is one.And they made fifty hooks of gold, joining the curtains one to another with the hooks; and so the House was made.Whereupon also he cast fifty rings of gold, that might catch the loops of the curtains, and they might be made one tabernacle.
Exodus 36:14And he maketh curtains of goats` [hair] for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains he hath made them; And they made curtains of goats' hair for the tent; eleven curtains were made.He made also eleven curtains of goats' hair, to cover the roof of the tabernacle:
Exodus 36:15the length of the one curtain [is] thirty by the cubit, and the breadth of the one curtain [is] four cubits; one measure [is] to the eleven curtains;Every curtain was thirty cubits long and four cubits wide, all of the same measure. One curtain was thirty cubits long and four cubits broad: all the curtains were of one measure.
Exodus 36:16and he joineth the five curtains apart, and the six curtains apart.Five curtains were joined together to make one group, and six curtains were joined together to make the other group.Five of which he joined apart, and the other six apart.
Exodus 36:17And he maketh fifty loops on the outer edge of the curtain, in the joining; and fifty loops he hath made on the edge of the curtain which is joining the second; And they put fifty twists of cord on the edge of the outside curtain of the first group, and fifty twists on the edge of the outside curtain of the second group,And he made fifty loops in the edge of one curtain, and fifty in the edge of another curtain, that they might be joined one to another.
Exodus 36:18and he maketh fifty hooks of brass to join the tent to be one;And fifty hooks of brass for joining them together to make the tent. And fifty buckles of brass wherewith the roof might be knit together, that of all the curtains there might be made one covering.
Exodus 36:19and he maketh a covering for the tent of rams` skins made red, and a covering of badgers` skins above. And they made a cover of sheepskins coloured red, to go over the tent, and a cover of leather over that.He made also a cover for the tabernacle of rams' skins dyed red: and another cover over that of violet skins.
Exodus 36:20And he maketh the boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up;And for the uprights of the House they made boards of hard wood.He made also the boards of the tabernacle of setim wood standing.
Exodus 36:21ten cubits [is] the length of the [one] board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of the [one] board; The boards were ten cubits long and one cubit and a half wide. The length of one board was ten cubits: and the breadth was one cubit and a half.
Exodus 36:22two handles [are] to the one board, joined one unto another; so he hath made for all the boards of the tabernacle.Every board had two tongues fixed into it; all the boards were made in this way. There were two mortises throughout every board, that one might be joined to the other. And in this manner he made for all the boards of the tabernacle.
Exodus 36:23And he maketh the boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward; They made twenty boards for the south side of the House:Of which twenty were at the south side southward,
Exodus 36:24and forty sockets of silver he hath made under the twenty boards, two sockets under the one board for its two handles, and two sockets under the other board for its two handles. And for these twenty boards, forty silver bases, two bases under every board, to take its tongues. With forty sockets of silver, two sockets were put under one board on the two sides of the corners, where the mortises of the sides end in the corners.
Exodus 36:25And for the second side of the tabernacle, for the north side, he hath made twenty boards,And for the second side of the House, on the north, they made twenty boards,At that side also of the tabernacle, that looketh toward the north, he made twenty boards.
Exodus 36:26and their forty sockets of silver, two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under the other board; With their forty silver bases, two bases for every board. With forty sockets of silver, two sockets for every board.
Exodus 36:27and for the sides of the tabernacle, westward, hath he made six boards; And for the west side of the House, at the back, they made six boards,But against the west, to wit, at that side of the tabernacle, which looketh to the sea, he made six boards,
Exodus 36:28and two boards hath he made for the corners of the tabernacle, in the two sides; And two boards for the angles at the back. And two others at each corner of the tabernacle behind:
Exodus 36:29and they have been twins below, and together they are twins at its head, at the one ring; so he hath done to both of them at the two corners; These were joined together at the base and at the top to one ring, so forming the two angles.Which were also joined from beneath unto the top, and went together into one joint. Thus he did on both sides at the corners:
Exodus 36:30and there have been eight boards; and their sockets of silver [are] sixteen sockets, two sockets under the one board. So there were eight boards with sixteen bases of silver, two bases under every board. So there were in all eight boards and they had sixteen sockets of silver, to wit, two sockets under every board.
Exodus 36:31And he maketh bars of shittim wood, five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,And they made rods of hard wood; five for the boards on one side of the House,He made also bars of setim wood, five to hold together the boards of one side of the tabernacle,
Exodus 36:32and five bars for the boards of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle, for the sides westward; And five for the boards on the other side of the House, and five for the boards at the back, on the west. And five others to join together the boards of the other side: and besides these, five other bars at the west side of the tabernacle towards the sea.
Exodus 36:33and he maketh the middle bar to enter into the midst of the boards from end to end;The middle rod was made to go right through the rings of all the boards from one end to the other. He made also another bar, that might come by the midst of the boards from corner to corner.
Exodus 36:34and the boards he hath overlaid with gold, and their rings he hath made of gold, places for bars, and he overlayeth the bars with gold. All the boards were plated with gold, and the rings through which the rods went were of gold, and the rods were plated with gold. And the board works themselves he overlaid with gold, casting for them sockets of silver. And their rings he made of gold, through which the bars might be drawn: and he covered the bars themselves with plates of gold.
Exodus 36:35And he maketh the vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of a designer he hath made it, [with] cherubs; And he made the veil of the best linen, blue and purple and red, worked with winged ones designed by expert workmen. He made also a veil of violet, and purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, varied and distinguished with embroidery:
Exodus 36:36and he maketh for it four pillars of shittim [wood], and overlayeth them with gold; their pegs [are] of gold; and he casteth for them four sockets of silver. And they made four pillars for it of hard wood plated with gold: they had hooks of gold and four silver bases. And four pillars of setim wood, which with their heads be overlaid with gold, casting for them sockets of silver.
