| Galatians 5:1 | In the freedom, then, with which Christ did make you free stand ye, and be not held fast again by a yoke of servitude; | Christ has truly made us free: then keep your free condition and let no man put a yoke on you again. | Stand fast, and be not held again under the yoke of bondage. |
| Galatians 5:2 | lo, I Paul do say to you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing; | See, I Paul say to you, that if you undergo circumcision, Christ will be of no use to you. | Behold, I Paul tell you, that if you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. |
| Galatians 5:3 | and I testify again to every man circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law; | Yes, I give witness again to every man who undergoes circumcision, that he will have to keep all the law. | And I testify again to every man circumcising himself, that he is a debtor to the whole law. |

Then is the scandal of the cross made void. |
