And the chief priest answering said to him, `I adjure thee, by the living God, that thou mayest say to us, if thou art the Christ the Son of God.` | But Jesus said not a word. And the high priest said to him, I put you on oath, by the living God, that you will say to us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. | But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. |
