| 1st-Peter 4:1 | Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, ye also with the same mind arm yourselves, because he who did suffer in the flesh hath done with sin, | So that as Jesus was put to death in the flesh, do you yourselves be of the same mind; for the death of the flesh puts an end to sin; | Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; |
| 1st-Peter 4:2 | no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh; | So that you may give the rest of your lives in the flesh, not to the desires of men, but to the purpose of God. | That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. |

| 1st-Peter 4:19 | so that also those suffering according to the will of god, as to a stedfast Creator, let them commit their own souls in good doing. | For this reason let those who by the purpose of God undergo punishment, keep on in well-doing and put their souls into the safe hands of their Maker. | Wherefore, let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit the keeping of their souls to him in well-doing, as to a faithful Creator. |
