Philippians 3:1As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord; the same things to write to you to me indeed is not tiresome, and for you [is] sure;For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in [the] Lord: to write the same things to you, to me [is] not irksome, and for you safe.For the rest, my brothers, be glad in the Lord. Writing the same things to you is no trouble to me, and for you it is safe.
Philippians 3:2look to the dogs, look to the evil-workers, look to the concision;See to dogs, see to evil workmen, see to the concision.Be on the watch against dogs, against the workers of evil, against those of the circumcision:
Philippians 3:3for we are the circumcision, who by the Spirit are serving God, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and in flesh having no trust,For *we* are the circumcision, who worship by [the] Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and do not trust in flesh.For we are the circumcision, who give worship to God and have glory in Jesus Christ, and have no faith in the flesh:
Philippians 3:4though I also have [cause of] trust in flesh. If any other one doth think to have trust in flesh, I more;Though *I* have [my] trust even in flesh; if any other think to trust in flesh, *I* rather:Even though I myself might have faith in the flesh: if any other man has reason to have faith in the flesh, I have more:
Philippians 3:5circumcision on the eighth day! of the race of Israel! of the tribe of Benjamin! a Hebrew of Hebrews! according to law a Pharisee!as to circumcision, [I received it] the eighth day; of [the] race of Israel, of [the] tribe of Benjamin, Hebrew of Hebrews; as to [the] law, a Pharisee;Being given circumcision on the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in relation to the law, a Pharisee:
Philippians 3:6according to zeal persecuting the assembly! according to righteousness that is in law becoming blameless!as to zeal, persecuting the assembly; as to righteousness which [is] in [the] law, found blameless;In bitter hate I was cruel to the church; I kept all the righteousness of the law to the last detail.
Philippians 3:7But what things were to me gains, these I have counted, because of the Christ, loss;but what things were gain to me these I counted, on account of Christ, loss.But those things which were profit to me, I gave up for Christ.
Philippians 3:8yes, indeed, and I count all things to be loss, because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom of the all things I suffered loss, and do count them to be refuse, that Christ I may gain, and be found in him,But surely I count also all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them to be filth, that I may gain Christ;Yes truly, and I am ready to give up all things for the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, which is more than all: for whom I have undergone the loss of all things, and to me they are less than nothing, so that I may have Christ as my reward,
Philippians 3:9not having my righteousness, which [is] of law, but that which [is] through faith of Christ the righteousness that is of God by the faith,and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith,And be seen in him, not having my righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Philippians 3:10to know him, and the power of his rising again, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,That I may have knowledge of him, and of the power of his coming back from the dead, and a part with him in his pains, becoming like him in his death;
Philippians 3:11if anyhow I may attain to the rising again of the dead.if any way I arrive at the resurrection from among [the] dead.If in any way I may have the reward of life from the dead.
Philippians 3:12Not that I did already obtain, or have been already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by the Christ Jesus;Not that I have already obtained [the prize], or am already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may get possession [of it], seeing that also I have been taken possession of by Christ [Jesus].Not as if I had even now got the reward or been made complete: but I go on in the hope that I may come to the knowledge of that for which I was made the servant of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13brethren, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold; and one thing the things behind indeed forgetting, and to the things before stretching forthBrethren, *I* do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before,Brothers, it is clear to me that I have not come to that knowledge; but one thing I do, letting go those things which are past, and stretching out to the things which are before,
Philippians 3:14to the mark I pursue for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.I pursue, [looking] towards [the] goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus.I go forward to the mark, even the reward of the high purpose of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:15As many, therefore, as [are] perfect let us think this, and if [in] anything ye think otherwise, this also shall God reveal to you,As many therefore as [are] perfect, let us be thus minded; and if ye are any otherwise minded, this also God shall reveal to you.Then let us all, who have come to full growth, be of this mind: and if in anything you are of a different mind, even this will God make clear to you:
Philippians 3:16but to what we have come by the same rule walk, the same thing think;But whereto we have attained, [let us] walk in the same steps.Only, as far as we have got, let us be guided by the same rule.
Philippians 3:17become followers together of me, brethren, and observe those thus walking, according as ye have us a pattern;Be imitators [all] together of me, brethren, and fix your eyes on those walking thus as you have us for a model;Brothers, take me as your example, and take note of those who are walking after the example we have given.
Philippians 3:18for many walk of whom many times I told you and now also weeping tell the enemies of the cross of the Christ!(for many walk of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they [are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:For there are those, of whom I have given you word before, and do so now with sorrow, who are haters of the cross of Christ;
Philippians 3:19whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and whose glory [is] in their shame, who the things on earth are minding.whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and [their] glory in their shame, who mind earthly things:)Whose end is destruction, whose god is the stomach, and whose glory is in their shame, whose minds are fixed on the things of the earth.
Philippians 3:20For our citizenship is in the heavens, whence also a Saviour we await the Lord Jesus Christfor *our* commonwealth has its existence in [the] heavens, from which also we await the Lord Jesus Christ [as] Saviour,For our country is in heaven; from where the Saviour for whom we are waiting will come, even the Lord Jesus Christ:
Philippians 3:21who shall transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of his power, even to subject to himself the all things.who shall transform our body of humiliation into conformity to his body of glory, according to the working of [the] power which he has even to subdue all things to himself.By whom this poor body of ours will be changed into the image of the body of his glory, in the measure of the working by which he is able to put all things under himself.
