| Luke 17:1 | And he said unto the disciples, `It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but wo [to him] through whom they come; | And he said to his disciples, It cannot be but that offences come, but woe [to him] by whom they come! | And he said to his disciples: It is impossible that scandals should not come: but woe to him through whom they come. |
| Luke 17:2 | it is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put round about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble. | It would be [more] profitable for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should be a snare to one of these little ones. | It were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should scandalize one of these little ones. |
