| Mark 14:1 | And the passover and the unleavened food were after two days, and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how, by guile, having taken hold of him, they might kill him; | Now the passover and the [feast of] unleavened bread was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might seize him by subtlety and kill him. | Now the feast of the pasch, and of the Azymes was after two days; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might by some wile lay hold on him, and kill him. |
| Mark 14:2 | and they said, `Not in the feast, lest there shall be a tumult of the people.` | For they said, Not in the feast, lest perhaps there be a tumult of the people. | But they said: Not on the festival day, lest there should be a tumult among the people. |
