| Matthew 24:1 | And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple, | And Jesus went forth and went away from the temple, and his disciples came to [him] to point out to him the buildings of the temple. | Jesus had left the Temple and was going on His way, when His disciples came and called His attention to the Temple buildings. |
| Matthew 24:2 | and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.` | And he answering said to them, Do ye not see all these things? Verily I say to you, Not a stone shall be left here upon a stone which shall not be thrown down. | "You see all these?" He replied; "in solemn truth I tell you that there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be pulled down." |
| Matthew 24:3 | And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?` | And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign of thy coming and [the] completion of the age? | Afterwards He was on the Mount of Olives and was seated there when the disciples came to Him, apart from the others, and said, "Tell us when this will be; and what will be the sign of your Coming and of the Close of the Age?" |
| Matthew 24:4 | And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray, | And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you. | "Take care that no one misleads you," answered Jesus; |

| Matthew 24:6 | and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet. | But ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not disturbed; for all [these things] must take place, but it is not yet the end. | And before long you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet. |

| Matthew 24:9 | then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name; | Then shall they deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you; and ye will be hated of all the nations for my name's sake. | "At that time they will deliver you up to punishment and will put you to death; and you will be objects of hatred to all the nations because you are called by my name. |

| Matthew 24:12 | and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold; | and because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of the most shall grow cold; | and because of the prevalent disregard of God's law the love of the great majority will grow cold; |
| Matthew 24:13 | but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved; | but he that has endured to the end, *he* shall be saved. | but those who stand firm to the End shall be saved. |
| Matthew 24:14 | and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive. | And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then shall come the end. | And this Good News of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world to set the evidence before all the Gentiles; and then the End will come. |

As soon as its branches have now become soft and it is bursting into leaf, you all know that summer is near. |
