John 7:1And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for he did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him,And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him.After these things, Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
John 7:2and the feast of the Jews was nigh that of tabernaclesNow the tabernacles, the feast of the Jews, was near.Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.
John 7:3his brethren, therefore, said unto him, `Remove hence, and go away to Judea, that thy disciples also may behold thy works that thou dost;His brethren therefore said to him, Remove hence and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see thy works which thou doest;His brothers therefore said to him, "Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.
John 7:4for no one in secret doth anything, and himself seeketh to be in public; if thou dost these things manifest thyself to the world;`for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be [known] in public. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world:For no man does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world."
John 7:5for not even were his brethren believing in him.for neither did his brethren believe on him.For even his brothers didn't believe in him.
John 7:6Jesus, therefore, saith to them, `My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;Jesus therefore says to them, My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready.Jesus therefore said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
John 7:7the world is not able to hate you, but me it doth hate, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.The world cannot hate you, but me it hates, because I bear witness concerning it that its works are evil.The world can't hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.
John 7:8Ye go ye up to this feast; I do not yet go up to this feast, because my time hath not yet been fulfilled;`Ye, go ye up to this feast. I go not up to this feast, for *my* time is not yet fulfilled.You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."
John 7:9and saying these things to them, he remained in Galilee.Having said these things to them he abode in Galilee.Having said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee.
John 7:10And when his brethren went up, then also he himself went up to the feast, not manifestly, but as in secret;But when his brethren had gone up, then he himself also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
John 7:11the Jews, therefore, were seeking him, in the feast, and said, `Where is that one?`The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, "Where is he?"
John 7:12and there was much murmuring about him among the multitudes, some indeed said `He is good;` and others said, `No, but he leadeth astray the multitude;`And there was much murmuring concerning him among the crowds. Some said, He is [a] good [man]; others said, No; but he deceives the crowd.There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, "He is a good man." Others said, "Not so, but he leads the multitude astray."
John 7:13no one, however, was speaking freely about him, through fear of the Jews.However, no one spoke openly concerning him on account of [their] fear of the Jews.Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.
John 7:14And it being now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up to the temple, and he was teaching,But when it was now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
John 7:15and the Jews were wondering, saying, `How hath this one known letters not having learned?`The Jews therefore wondered, saying, How knows this [man] letters, having never learned?The Jews therefore marveled, saying, "How does this man know letters, having never been educated?"
John 7:16Jesus answered them and said, `My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me;Jesus therefore answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but [that] of him that has sent me.Jesus therefore answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
John 7:17if any one may will to do His will, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or I do speak from myself.If any one desire to practise his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God, or [that] I speak from myself.If anyone desires to do his will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I speak from myself.
John 7:18`He who is speaking from himself his own glory doth seek, but he who is seeking the glory of him who sent him, this one is true, and unrighteousness is not in him;He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but he that seeks the glory of him that has sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
John 7:19hath not Moses given you the law? and none of you doth the law; why me do ye seek to kill?`Has not Moses given you the law, and no one of you practises the law? Why do ye seek to kill me?Didn't Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?"
John 7:20The multitude answered and said, `Thou hast a demon, who doth seek to kill thee?`The crowd answered [and said], Thou hast a demon: who seeks to kill thee?The multitude answered, "You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?"
John 7:21Jesus answered and said to them, `One work I did, and ye all wonder,Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all wonder.Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you all marvel because of it.
John 7:22because of this, Moses hath given you the circumcision not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers and on a sabbath ye circumcise a man;Therefore Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and ye circumcise a man on sabbath.Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
John 7:23if a man doth receive circumcision on a sabbath that the law of Moses may not be broken, are ye wroth with me that I made a man all whole on a sabbath?If a man receives circumcision on sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be violated, are ye angry with me because I have made a man entirely sound on sabbath?If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man every bit whole on the Sabbath?
John 7:24judge not according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge.`Judge not according to sight, but judge righteous judgment.Don't judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."
John 7:25Certain, therefore, of the Jerusalemites said, `Is not this he whom they are seeking to kill?Some therefore of those of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, "Isn't this he whom they seek to kill?
John 7:26and, lo, he doth speak freely, and they say nothing to him; did the rulers at all know truly that this is truly the Christ?and behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers then indeed recognised that this is the Christ?Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?
John 7:27but this one we have known whence he is; and the Christ, when he doth come, no one doth know whence he is.`But [as to] this [man] we know whence he is. Now [as to] the Christ, when he comes, no one knows whence he is.However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from."
John 7:28Jesus cried, therefore, in the temple, teaching and saying, `Ye have both known me, and ye have known whence I am; and I have not come of myself, but He who sent me is true, whom ye have not known;Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me and ye know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye do not know.Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don't know.
John 7:29and I have known Him, because I am from Him, and He did send me.`I know him, because I am from him, and *he* has sent me.I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me."
John 7:30They were seeking, therefore, to seize him, and no one laid the hand on him, because his hour had not yet come,They sought therefore to take him; and no one laid his hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.They sought therefore to take him. No one laid a hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.
John 7:31and many out of the multitude did believe in him, and said `The Christ when he may come will he do more signs than these that this one did?`But many of the crowd believed on him, and said, Will the Christ, when he comes, do more signs than those which this [man] has done?But of the multitude, many believed in him. They said, "When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than those which this man has done?"
John 7:32The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they may take him;The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they might take him.The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.
John 7:33Jesus, therefore, said to them, `Yet a little time I am with you, and I go away unto Him who sent me;Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go to him that has sent me.Then Jesus said, "Yet a little while, am I with you, then I go to him who sent me.
John 7:34ye will seek me, and ye shall not find; and where I am, ye are not able to come.`Ye shall seek me and shall not find [me], and where I am ye cannot come.You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come."
John 7:35The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, `Whither is this one about to go that we shall not find him? to the dispersion of the Greeks is he about to go? and to teach the Greeks;The Jews therefore said to one another, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to go to the dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?The Jews therefore said among themselves, "Where will this man go that we won't find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
John 7:36what is this word that he said, Ye will seek me, and ye shall not find? and, Where I am, ye are not able to come?`What word is this which he said, Ye shall seek me and shall not find [me]; and where I am ye cannot come?What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come?'"
John 7:37And in the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, `If any one doth thirst, let him come unto me and drink;In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!
John 7:38he who is believing in me, according as the Writing said, Rivers out of his belly shall flow of living water;`He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water."
John 7:39and this he said of the Spirit, which those believing in him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.But this he said concerning the Spirit, which they that believed on him were about to receive; for [the] Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn't yet glorified.
John 7:40Many, therefore out of the multitude, having heard the word, said, `This is truly the Prophet;`[Some] out of the crowd therefore, having heard this word, said, This is truly the prophet.Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, "This is truly the prophet."
John 7:41others said, `This is the Christ;` and others said, `Why, out of Galilee doth the Christ come?Others said, This is the Christ. Others said, Does then the Christ come out of Galilee?Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
John 7:42Did not the Writing say, that out of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem the village where David was the Christ doth come?`Has not the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from the village of Bethlehem, where David was?Hasn't the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
John 7:43A division, therefore, arose among the multitude because of him.There was a division therefore in the crowd on account of him.So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.
John 7:44And certain of them were willing to seize him, but no one laid hands on him;But some of them desired to take him, but no one laid hands upon him.Some of them would have taken him, but no one laid hands on him.
John 7:45the officers came, therefore, unto the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, `Wherefore did ye not bring him?`The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, Why have ye not brought him?The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why didn't you bring him?"
John 7:46The officers answered, `Never so spake man as this man.`The officers answered, Never man spoke thus, as this man [speaks].The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this man!"
John 7:47The Pharisees, therefore, answered them, `Have ye also been led astray?The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are ye also deceived?The Pharisees therefore answered them, "Are you also led astray?
John 7:48did any one out of the rulers believe in him? or out of the Pharisees?Has any one of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?Has any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?
John 7:49but this multitude, that is not knowing the law, is accursed.`But this crowd, which does not know the law, are accursed.But this cursed multitude doesn't know the law."
John 7:50Nicodemus saith unto them he who came by night unto him being one of them,Nicodemus says to them (being one of themselves),Nicodemus (he who came to him by night, being one of them) said to them,
John 7:51`Doth our law judge the man, if it may not hear from him first, and know what he doth?`Does our law judge a man before it have first heard from himself, and know what he does?"Does our law judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?"
John 7:52They answered and said to him, `Art thou also out of Galilee? search and see, that a prophet out of Galilee hath not risen;`They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search and look, that no prophet arises out of Galilee.They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."
John 7:53and each one went on to his house, but Jesus went on to the mount of the Olives.And every one went to his home.Everyone went to his own house,
