Philippians 4:1 | So then, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand ye in the Lord, beloved. | So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in [the] Lord, beloved. | Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. |
Philippians 4:2 | Euodia I exhort, and Syntyche I exhort, to be of the same mind in the Lord; | I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in [the] Lord; | I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord. |
Philippians 4:3 | and I ask also thee, genuine yoke-fellow, be assisting those women who in the good news did strive along with me, with Clement also, and the others, my fellow-workers, whose names [are] in the book of life. | yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life. | Yes, I beg you also, true yoke-fellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. |
Philippians 4:4 | Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice; | Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. | Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice! |
Philippians 4:5 | let your forbearance be known to all men; the Lord [is] near; | Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord [is] near. | Let your mildness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. |
Philippians 4:6 | for nothing be anxious, but in everything by prayer, and by supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God; | Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; | In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. |
Philippians 4:7 | and the peace of God, that is surpassing all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. | and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. | The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:8 | As to the rest, brethren, as many things as are true, as many as [are] grave, as many as [are] righteous, as many as [are] pure, as many as [are] lovely, as many as [are] of good report, if any worthiness, and if any praise, these things think upon; | For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things. | Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. |
Philippians 4:9 | the things that also ye did learn, and receive, and hear, and saw in me, those do, and the God of the peace shall be with you. | What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you. | The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you. |
Philippians 4:10 | And I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at length ye flourished again in caring for me, for which also ye were caring, and lacked opportunity; | But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity. | But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity. |
Philippians 4:11 | not that in respect of want I say [it], for I did learn in the things in which I am to be content; | Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me *I* have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself. | Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. |
Philippians 4:12 | I have known both to be abased, and I have known to abound; in everything and in all things I have been initiated, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in want. | I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation. | I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. |
Philippians 4:13 | For all things I have strength, in Christ`s strengthening me; | I have strength for all things in him that gives me power. | I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. |
Philippians 4:14 | but ye did well, having communicated with my tribulation; | But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction. | However you did well that you had fellowship with my affliction. |
Philippians 4:15 | and ye have known, even ye Philippians, that in the beginning of the good news when I went forth from Macedonia, no assembly did communicate with me in regard to giving and receiving except ye only; | And know also *ye*, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save *ye* alone; | You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only. |
Philippians 4:16 | because also in Thessalonica, both once and again to my need ye sent; | for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need. | For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need. |
Philippians 4:17 | not that I seek after the gift, but I seek after the fruit that is overflowing to your account; | Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account. | Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account. |
Philippians 4:18 | and I have all things, and abound; I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you an odour of a sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God: | But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God. | But I have all things, and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God. |
Philippians 4:19 | and my God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus; | But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. | My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:20 | and to God, even our Father, [is] the glory to the ages of the ages. Amen. | But to our God and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen. | Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. |
Philippians 4:21 | Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus; there salute you the brethren with me; | Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you. | Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you. |
Philippians 4:22 | there salute you all the saints, and specially those of Caesar`s house; | All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar. | All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar's household. |
Philippians 4:23 | the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with you all. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. |
