Acts 15:1And certain having come down from Judea, were teaching the brethren `If ye be not circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye are not able to be saved;`And some coming down from Judea, taught the brethren: That except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved.And certain persons, having come down from Judaea, taught the brethren, If ye shall not have been circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
Acts 15:2there having been, therefore, not a little dissension and disputation to Paul and Barnabas with them, they arranged for Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of them, to go up unto the apostles and elders to Jerusalem about this question,And when Paul and Barnabas had no small contest with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of the other side, should go up to the apostles and priests to Jerusalem about this question.A commotion therefore having taken place, and no small discussion on the part of Paul and Barnabas against them, they arranged that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others from amongst them, should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
Acts 15:3they indeed, then, having been sent forward by the assembly, were passing through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the nations, and they were causing great joy to all the brethren.They therefore being brought on their way by the church, passed through Phenice, and Samaria, relating the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren.They therefore, having been set on their way by the assembly, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, relating the conversion of [those of] the nations. And they caused great joy to all the brethren.
Acts 15:4And having come to Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and the elders, they declared also as many things as God did with them;And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles and ancients, declaring how great things God had done with them.And being arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and the elders, and related all that God had wrought with them.
Acts 15:5and there rose up certain of those of the sect of the Pharisees who believed, saying `It behoveth to circumcise them, to command them also to keep the law of Moses.`But there arose some of the sect of the Pharisees that believed, saying: They must be circumcised, and be commanded to observe the law of Moses.And some of those who were of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, rose up from among [them], saying that they ought to circumcise them and enjoin them to keep the law of Moses.
Acts 15:6And there were gathered together the apostles and the elders, to see about this matter,And the apostles and ancients assembled to consider of this matter.And the apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
Acts 15:7and there having been much disputing, Peter having risen up said unto them, `Men, brethren, ye know that from former days, God among us did make choice, through my mouth, for the nations to hear the word of the good news, and to believe;And when there had been much disputing, Peter, rising up, said to them: Men, brethren, you know, that in former days God made choice among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.And much discussion having taken place, Peter, standing up, said to them, Brethren, *ye* know that from the earliest days God amongst you chose that the nations by my mouth should hear the word of the glad tidings and believe.
Acts 15:8and the heart-knowing God did bare them testimony, having given to them the Holy Spirit, even as also to us,And God, who knoweth the hearts, gave testimony, giving unto them the Holy Ghost, as well as to us;And the heart-knowing God bore them witness, giving [them] the Holy Spirit as to us also,
Acts 15:9and did put no difference also between us and them, by the faith having purified their hearts;And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.and put no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith.
Acts 15:10now, therefore, why do ye tempt God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?Now therefore, why tempt you God to put a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?Now therefore why tempt ye God, by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
Acts 15:11but, through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, even as also they.`But by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, in like manner as they also.But we believe that we shall be saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same manner as they also.
Acts 15:12And all the multitude did keep silence, and were hearkening to Barnabas and Paul, declaring as many signs and wonders as God did among the nations through them;And all the multitude held their peace; and they heard Barnabas and Paul telling what great signs and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.And all the multitude kept silence and listened to Barnabas and Paul relating all the signs and wonders which God had wrought among the nations by them.
Acts 15:13and after they are silent, James answered, saying, `Men, brethren, hearken to me;And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying: Men, brethren, hear me.And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Brethren, listen to me:
Acts 15:14Simeon did declare how at first God did look after to take out of the nations a people for His name,Simon hath related how God first visited to take of the Gentiles a people to his name.Simon has related how God first visited to take out of [the] nations a people for his name.
Acts 15:15and to this agree the words of the prophets, as it hath been written:And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written:And with this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written:
Acts 15:16After these things I will turn back, and I will build again the tabernacle of David, that is fallen down, and its ruins I will build again, and will set it uprightAfter these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and the ruins thereof I will rebuild, and I will set it up:After these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up,
Acts 15:17that the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all the nations, upon whom My name hath been called, saith the Lord, who is doing all these things.That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all nations upon whom my name is invoked, saith the Lord, who doth these things.so that the residue of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations on whom my name is invoked, saith [the] Lord, who does these things
Acts 15:18`Known from the ages to God are all His works;To the Lord was his own work known from the beginning of the world.known from eternity.
Acts 15:19wherefore I judge: not to trouble those who from the nations do turn back to God,For which cause I judge that they, who from among the Gentiles are converted to God, are not to be disquieted.Wherefore *I* judge, not to trouble those who from the nations turn to God;
Acts 15:20but to write to them to abstain from the pollutions of the idols, and the whoredom, and the strangled thing; and the blood;But that we write unto them, that they refrain themselves from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.but to write to them to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:21for Moses from former generations in every city hath those preaching him in the synagogues every sabbath being read.`For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him in the synagogues, where he is read every sabbath.For Moses, from generations of old, has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath.
Acts 15:22Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, chosen men out of themselves to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethrenThen it pleased the apostles and ancients, with the whole church, to choose men of their own company, and to send to Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas, who was surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren.Then it seemed good to the apostles and to the elders, with the whole assembly, to send chosen men from among them with Paul and Barnabas to Antioch, Judas called Barsabas and Silas, leading men among the brethren,
Acts 15:23having written through their hand thus: `The apostles, and the elders, and the brethren, to those in Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia, brethren, who [are] of the nations, greeting;Writing by their hands: The apostles and ancients, brethren, to the brethren of the Gentiles that are at Antioch, and in Syria and Cilicia, greeting.having by their hand written [thus]: The apostles, and the elders, and the brethren, to the brethren who are from among [the] nations at Antioch, and [in] Syria and Cilicia, greeting:
Acts 15:24seeing we have heard that certain having gone forth from us did trouble you with words, subverting your souls, saying to be circumcised and to keep the law, to whom we did give no charge,Forasmuch as we have heard, that some going out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls; to whom we gave no commandment:Inasmuch as we have heard that some who went out from amongst us have troubled you by words, upsetting your souls, [saying that ye must be circumcised and keep the law]; to whom we gave no commandment;
Acts 15:25it seemed good to us, having come together with one accord, chosen men to send unto you, with our beloved Barnabas and PaulIt hath seemed good to us, being assembled together, to choose out men, and to send them unto you, with our well beloved Barnabas and Paul:it seemed good to us, having arrived at a common judgment, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Acts 15:26men who have given up their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus ChristMen that have given their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.men who have given up their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 15:29to abstain from things offered to idols, and blood, and a strangled thing, and whoredom; from which keeping yourselves, ye shall do well; be strong!`That you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which things keeping yourselves, you shall do well. Fare ye well.to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication; keeping yourselves from which ye will do well. Farewell.
Acts 15:30They then, indeed, having been let go, went to Antioch, and having brought the multitude together, did deliver the epistle,They therefore being dismissed, went down to Antioch; and gathering together the multitude, delivered the epistle.They therefore, being let go, came to Antioch, and having gathered the multitude delivered to [them] the epistle.
Acts 15:31and they having read, did rejoice for the consolation;Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.And having read it, they rejoiced at the consolation.
Acts 15:32Judas also and Silas, being themselves also prophets, through much discourse did exhort the brethren, and confirm,But Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, with many words comforted the brethren, and confirmed them.And Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted the brethren with much discourse, and strengthened them.
Acts 15:33and having passed some time, they were let go with peace from the brethren unto the apostles;And after they had spent some time there, they were let go with peace by the brethren, unto them that had sent them.And having passed some time [there], they were let go in peace from the brethren to those who sent them.
Acts 15:34and it seemed good to Silas to remain there still.But it seemed good unto Silas to remain there; and Judas alone departed to Jerusalem.
Acts 15:35And Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming good news with many others also the word of the Lord;And Paul and Barnabas continued at Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others, the word of the Lord.And Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and announcing the glad tidings, with many others also, of the word of the Lord.
Acts 15:36and after certain days, Paul said unto Barnabas, `Having turned back again, we may look after our brethren, in every city in which we have preached the word of the Lord how they are.`And after some days, Paul said to Barnabas: Let us return and visit our brethren in all the cities wherein we have preached the word of the Lord, to see how they do.But after certain days Paul said to Barnabas, Let us return now and visit the brethren in every city where we have announced the word of the Lord, [and see] how they are getting on.
Acts 15:37And Barnabas counseled to take with [them] John called Mark,And Barnabas would have taken with them John also, that was surnamed Mark;And Barnabas proposed to take with [them] John also, called Mark;
Acts 15:38and Paul was not thinking it good to take him with them who withdrew from them from Pamphylia, and did not go with them to the work;But Paul desired that he (as having departed from them out of Pamphylia, and not gone with them to the work) might not be received.but Paul thought it not well to take with them him who had abandoned them, [going back] from Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work.
Acts 15:39there came, therefore, a sharp contention, so that they were parted from one another, and Barnabas having taken Mark, did sail to Cyprus,And there arose a dissension, so that they departed one from another; and Barnabas indeed taking Mark, sailed to Cyprus.There arose therefore very warm feeling, so that they separated from one another; and Barnabas taking Mark sailed away to Cyprus;
Acts 15:40and Paul having chosen Silas, went forth, having been given up to the grace of God by the brethren;But Paul choosing Silas, departed, being delivered by the brethren to the grace of God.but Paul having chosen Silas went forth, committed by the brethren to the grace of God.
Acts 15:41and he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches, commanding them to keep the precepts of the apostles and the ancients.And he passed through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.
