Genesis 21:1And Jehovah hath looked after Sarah as He hath said, and Jehovah doth to Sarah as He hath spoken;And the Lord visited Sara, as he had promised: and fulfilled what he had spoken.And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and Jehovah did to Sarah as he had spoken.
Genesis 21:2and Sarah conceiveth, and beareth a son to Abraham, to his old age, at the appointed time that God hath spoken of with him;And she conceived and bore a son in her old age, at the time that God had foretold her.And Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
Genesis 21:3and Abraham calleth the name of his son who is born to him, whom Sarah hath born to him Isaac;And Abraham called the name of his son, whom Sara bore him, Isaac.And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.
Genesis 21:4and Abraham circumciseth Isaac his son, [being] a son of eight days, as God hath commanded him.And he circumcised him the eighth day, as God had commanded him,And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac, being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
Genesis 21:5And Abraham [is] a son of a hundred years in Isaac his son being born to him,When he was a hundred years old: for at this age of his father was Isaac born.And Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
Genesis 21:6and Sarah saith, `God hath made laughter for me; every one who is hearing laugheth for me.`And Sara said: God hath made a laughter for me: whosoever shall hear of it will laugh with me.And Sarah said, God has made me laugh: all that hear will laugh with me.
Genesis 21:7She saith also, `Who hath said to Abraham, Sarah hath suckled sons, that I have born a son for his old age?`And again she said: Who would believe that Abraham should hear that Sara gave suck to a son, whom she bore to him in his old age.And she said, Who would have said to Abraham, Sarah will suckle children? For I have borne [him] a son in his old age.
Genesis 21:8And the lad groweth, and is weaned, and Abraham maketh a great banquet in the day of Isaac`s being weaned;And the child grew and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast on the day of his weaning.And the child grew, and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
Genesis 21:9and Sarah seeth the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she hath borne to Abraham, mocking,And when Sara had seen the son of Agar the Egyptian playing with Isaac her son, she said to Abraham:And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking.
Genesis 21:10and she saith to Abraham, `Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid hath no possession with my son with Isaac.`Cast out this bondwoman, and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with my son Isaac.And she said to Abraham, Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid shall not inherit with my son with Isaac.
Genesis 21:11And the thing is very wrong in the eyes of Abraham, for his son`s sake;Abraham took this grievously for his son.And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
Genesis 21:12and God saith unto Abraham, `Let it not be wrong in thine eyes because of the youth, and because of thy handmaid: all that Sarah saith unto thee hearken to her voice, for in Isaac is a seed called to thee.And God said to him: Let it not seem grievous to thee for the boy, and for thy bondwoman: in all that Sara hath said to thee, hearken to her voice: for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.And God said to Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad and because of thy handmaid: [in] all that Sarah hath said to thee hearken to her voice, for in Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.
Genesis 21:13As to the son of the handmaid also, for a nation I set him, because he [is] thy seed.`But I will make the son also of the bondwoman a great nation, because he is thy seed.But also the son of the handmaid will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
Genesis 21:14And Abraham riseth early in the morning, and taketh bread, and a bottle of water, and giveth unto Hagar (placing [it] on her shoulder), also the lad, and sendeth her out; and she goeth on, and goeth astray in the wilderness of Beer-Sheba;So Abraham rose up in the morning, and taking bread and a bottle of water, put it upon her shoulder, and delivered the boy, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Bersabee.And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a flask of water, and gave [it] to Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder and the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered about in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.
Genesis 21:15and the water is consumed from the bottle, and she placeth the lad under one of the shrubs.And when the water in the bottle was spent, she cast the boy under one of the trees that were there.And the water was exhausted from the flask; and she cast the child under one of the shrubs,
Genesis 21:16And she goeth and sitteth by herself over-against, afar off, about a bow-shot, for she said, `Let me not look on the death of the lad;` and she sitteth over-against, and lifteth up her voice, and weepeth.And she went her way, and sat over against him a great way off as far as a bow can carry, for she said: I will not see the boy die: and sitting over against, she lifted up her voice and wept.and she went and sat down over against [him], a bow-shot off; for she said, Let me not behold the death of the child. And she sat over against [him], and lifted up her voice and wept.
Genesis 21:17And God heareth the voice of the youth; and the messenger of God calleth unto Hagar from the heavens, and saith to her, `What to thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath hearkened unto the voice of the youth where he [is];And God heard the voice of the boy: and an angel of God called to Agar from heaven, saying: What art thou doing, Agar? fear not: for God hath heard the voice of the boy, from the place wherein he is.And God heard the voice of the lad. And the Angel of God called to Hagar from the heavens, and said to her, What [aileth] thee, Hagar? Fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad there, where he is.
Genesis 21:18rise, lift up the youth, and lay hold on him with thy hand, for for a great nation I set him.`Arise, take up the boy, and hold him by the hand: for I will make him a great nation.Arise, take the lad, and hold him in thy hand; for I will make of him a great nation.
Genesis 21:19And God openeth her eyes, and she seeth a well of water, and she goeth and filleth the bottle [with] water, and causeth the youth to drink;And God opened her eyes: and she saw a well of water, and went and filled the bottle, and gave the boy to drink.And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the flask with water, and gave the lad drink.
Genesis 21:20and God is with the youth, and he groweth, and dwelleth in the wilderness, and is an archer;And God was with him: and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became a young man, an archer.And God was with the lad, and he grew; and he dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
Genesis 21:21and he dwelleth in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother taketh for him a wife from the land of Egypt.And he dwelt in the wilderness of Pharan, and his mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran. And his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
Genesis 21:22And it cometh to pass at that time that Abimelech speaketh Phichol also, head of his host unto Abraham, saying, `God [is] with thee in all that thou art doing;At the same time Abimelech, and Phicol the general of his army said to Abraham: God is with thee in all that thou dost.And it came to pass at that time that Abimelech, and Phichol the captain of his host, spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest.
Genesis 21:23and now, swear to me by God here: thou dost not lie to me, or to my continuator, or to my successor; according to the kindness which I have done with thee thou dost with me, and with the land in which thou hast sojourned.`Swear therefore by God, that thou wilt not hurt me, nor my posterity, nor my stock: but according to the kindness that I have done to thee, thou shalt do to me, and to the land wherein thou hast lived a stranger.And now swear to me here by God that thou wilt not deal deceitfully with me, nor with my son, nor with my grandson. According to the kindness that I have done to thee, thou shalt do to me, and to the land in which thou sojournest.
Genesis 21:24And Abraham saith, `I I do swear.`And Abraham said: I will swear.And Abraham said, I will swear.
Genesis 21:25And Abraham reasoned with Abimelech concerning the matter of a well of water which Abimelech`s servants have taken violently away,And he reproved Abimelech for a well of water, which his servants had taken away by force.And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water that Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.
Genesis 21:26and Abimelech saith, `I have not known who hath done this thing, and even thou didst not declare to me, and I also, I have not heard save to-day.`And Abimelech answered: I knew not who did this thing: and thou didst not tell me, and I heard not of it till today.And Abimelech said, I do not know who has done this, neither hast thou told me [of it], neither have I heard [of it] but to-day.
Genesis 21:27And Abraham taketh sheep and oxen, and giveth to Abimelech, and they make, both of them, a covenant;And Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech: and both of them made a league.And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them to Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.
Genesis 21:28and Abraham setteth seven Lambs of the flock by themselves.And Abraham set apart seven ewe lambs of the flock.And Abraham set seven ewe-lambs of the flock by themselves.
Genesis 21:29And Abimelech saith unto Abraham, `What [are] they these seven lambs which thou hast set by themselves?`And Abimelech said to him: What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set apart?And Abimelech said to Abraham, What [mean] these seven ewe-lambs, these which thou hast set by themselves?
Genesis 21:30And he saith, `For the seven lambs thou dost accept from my hand, so that it becometh a witness for me that I have digged this well;`But he said: Thou shalt take seven ewe lambs at my hand: that they may be a testimony for me, that I dug this well.And he said, That thou take the seven ewe-lambs of my hand, that they may be a witness to me that I have dug this well.
Genesis 21:31therefore hath he called that place `Beer-Sheba,` for there have both of them sworn.Therefore that place was called Bersabee: because both of them did swear.Therefore he called that place Beer-sheba, because there they had sworn, both of them.
Genesis 21:32And they make a covenant in Beer-Sheba, and Abimelech riseth Phichol also, head of his host and they turn back unto the land of the Philistines;And they made a league for the well of oath.And they made a covenant at Beer-sheba. And Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the captain of his host, and returned into the land of the Philistines.
Genesis 21:33and [Abraham] planteth a tamarask in Beer-Sheba, and preacheth there in the name of Jehovah, God age-during;And Abimelech, and Phicol the general of his army arose and returned to the land of the Palestines. But Abraham planted a grove in Bersabee, and there called upon the name of the Lord God eternal.And [Abraham] planted a tamarisk in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of Jehovah, the Eternal ùGod.
Genesis 21:34and Abraham sojourneth in the land of the Philistines many days.And he was a sojourner in the land of the Palestines many days.And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.
