Titus 3:1Remind them to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rule, unto every good work to be ready,Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.Put them in mind to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient to rule, to be ready to do every good work,
Titus 3:2of no one to speak evil, not to be quarrelsome gentle, showing all meekness to all men,To speak evil of no man, not to be litigious, but gentle: shewing all mildness towards all men.to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, [to be] mild, shewing all meekness towards all men.
Titus 3:3for we were once also we thoughtless, disobedient, led astray, serving desires and pleasures manifold, in malice and envy living, odious hating one another;For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.For we were once ourselves also without intelligence, disobedient, wandering in error, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.
Titus 3:4and when the kindness and the love to men of God our Saviour did appearBut when the goodness and kindness of God our Savior appeared:But when the kindness and love to man of our Saviour God appeared,
Titus 3:5(not by works that [are] in righteousness that we did but according to His kindness,) He did save us, through a bathing of regeneration, and a renewing of the Holy Spirit,Not by the works of justice, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renovation of the Holy Ghost;not on the principle of works which [have been done] in righteousness which *we* had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us through [the] washing of regeneration and renewal of [the] Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:6which He poured upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour,Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Savior:which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Titus 3:7that having been declared righteous by His grace, heirs we may become according to the hope of life age-during.That, being justified by his grace, we may be heirs, according to hope of life everlasting.that, having been justified by *his* grace, we should become heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:8Stedfast [is] the word; and concerning these things I counsel thee to affirm fully, that they may be thoughtful, to be leading in good works who have believed God; these are the good and profitable things to men,It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.The word [is] faithful, and I desire that thou insist strenuously on these things, that they who have believed God may take care to pay diligent attention to good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
Titus 3:9and foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about law, stand away from for they are unprofitable and vain.But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.But foolish questions, and genealogies, and strifes, and contentions about the law, shun; for they are unprofitable and vain.
Titus 3:10A sectarian man, after a first and second admonition be rejecting,A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:An heretical man after a first and second admonition have done with,
Titus 3:11having known that he hath been subverted who [is] such, and doth sin, being self-condemned.Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.knowing that such a one is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.
Titus 3:12When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis, for there to winter I have determined.When I shall send to thee Artemas or Tychicus, make haste to come unto me to Nicopolis. For there I have determined to winter.When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, use diligence to come to me to Nicopolis; for I have decided to winter there.
Titus 3:13Zenas the lawyer and Apollos bring diligently on their way, that nothing to them may be lacking,Send forward Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollo, with care, that nothing be wanting to them.Zenas the lawyer and Apollos set forward diligently on their way, that nothing may be lacking to them;
Titus 3:14and let them learn ours also to be leading in good works to the necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.And let our men also learn to excel in good works for necessary uses: that they be not unfruitful.and let ours also learn to apply themselves to good works for necessary wants, that they may not be unfruitful.
Titus 3:15Salute thee do all those with me; salute those loving us in faith; the grace [is] with you all!All that are with me salute thee: salute them that love us in the faith. The grace of God be with you all. Amen.All with me salute thee. Salute those who love us in [the] faith. Grace [be] with you all.
