Matthew 28:1And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre,And in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre.In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Matthew 28:2and lo, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, having come, did roll away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it,And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and coming, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
Matthew 28:3and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,And his countenance was as lightning, and his raiment as snow.His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
Matthew 28:4and from the fear of him did the keepers shake, and they became as dead men.And for fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men.And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
Matthew 28:5And the messenger answering said to the women, `Fear not ye, for I have known that Jesus, who hath been crucified, ye seek;And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
Matthew 28:6he is not here, for he rose, as he said; come, see the place where the Lord was lying;He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, and see the place where the Lord was laid.He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Matthew 28:7and having gone quickly, say ye to his disciples, that he rose from the dead; and lo, he doth go before you to Galilee, there ye shall see him; lo, I have told you.`And going quickly, tell ye his disciples that he is risen: and behold he will go before you into Galilee; there you shall see him. Lo, I have foretold it to you.And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Matthew 28:8And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell to his disciples;And they went out quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy, running to tell his disciples.And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
Matthew 28:9and as they were going to tell to his disciples, then lo, Jesus met them, saying, `Hail!` and they having come near, laid hold of his feet, and did bow to him.And behold Jesus met them, saying: All hail. But they came up and took hold of his feet, and adored him.And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Matthew 28:10Then saith Jesus to them, `Fear ye not, go away, tell to my brethren that they may go away to Galilee, and there they shall see me.`Then Jesus said to them: Fear not. Go, tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, there they shall see me.Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
Matthew 28:11And while they are going on, lo, certain of the watch having come to the city, told to the chief priests all the things that happened,Who when they were departed, behold some of the guards came into the city, and told the chief priests all things that had been done.Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
Matthew 28:12and having been gathered together with the elders, counsel also having taken, they gave much money to the soldiers,And they being assembled together with the ancients, taking counsel, gave a great sum of money to the soldiers,And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
Matthew 28:13saying, `Say ye, that his disciples having come by night, stole him we being asleep;Saying: Say you, His disciples came by night, and stole him away when we were asleep.Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
Matthew 28:14and if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.`And if the governor shall hear this, we will persuade him, and secure you.And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
Matthew 28:15And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews till this day.So they taking the money, did as they were taught: and this word was spread abroad among the Jews even unto this day.So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
Matthew 28:16And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mount where Jesus appointed them,And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
Matthew 28:17and having seen him, they bowed to him, but some did waver.And seeing them they adored: but some doubted.And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Matthew 28:18And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, `Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you,) and lo, I am with you all the days till the full end of the age.`Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
