Luke 1:19 | And the messenger answering said to him, `I am Gabriel, who have been standing near before God, and I was sent to speak unto thee, and to proclaim these good news to thee, | And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. | And the angel, answering, said, I am Gabriel, whose place is before God; I have been sent to say these words to you and to give you this good news. |
Luke 1:20 | and lo, thou shalt be silent, and not able to speak, till the day that these things shall come to pass, because thou didst not believe my words, that shall be fulfilled in their season.` | And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. | Now, see, you will be without voice or language till the day when these things come about, because you had not faith in my words, which will have effect at the right time. |
Luke 1:21 | And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and wondering at his tarrying in the sanctuary, | And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. | And the people were waiting for Zacharias and were surprised because he was in the Temple for such a long time. |
