Deuteronomy 14:1`Sons ye [are] to Jehovah your God; ye do not cut yourselves, nor make baldness between your eyes for the dead;Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. Ye are sons of Jehovah your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for a dead person.
Deuteronomy 14:2for a holy people [art] thou to Jehovah thy God, and on thee hath Jehovah fixed to be to Him for a people, a peculiar treasure, out of all the peoples who [are] on the face of the ground.for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, and thee hath Jehovah chosen for a people of possession unto himself, out of all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
Deuteronomy 14:3`Thou dost not eat any abominable thing;Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
Deuteronomy 14:4`this [is] the beast which ye do eat: ox, lamb of the sheep, or kid of the goats,These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat, These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat;
Deuteronomy 14:5hart, and roe, and fallow deer, and wild goat, and pygarg, and wild ox, and chamois;The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois. the hart, and the gazelle, and the stag, and the wild goat, and the dishon and the oryx, and the wild sheep.
Deuteronomy 14:6and every beast dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft into two hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts it ye do eat.And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat. And every beast that hath cloven hoofs, and the feet quite split open into double hoofs, [and] which cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
Deuteronomy 14:7`Only, this ye do not eat, of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the cloven hoof: the camel, and the hare, and the rabbit, for they are bringing up the cud but the hoof have not divided; unclean they [are] to you;Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you. Only these ye shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those with hoofs cloven and split open: the camel, and the hare, and the rock-badger; for they chew the cud, but have not cloven hoofs they shall be unclean unto you;
Deuteronomy 14:8and the sow, for it is dividing the hoof, and not [bringing] up the cud, unclean it [is] to you; of their flesh ye do not eat, and against their carcase ye do not come.And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase. and the swine, for it hath cloven hoofs, yet cheweth not the cud it shall be unclean unto you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch.
Deuteronomy 14:9`This ye do eat of all that [are] in the waters; all that hath fins and scales ye do eat;These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales shall ye eat;
Deuteronomy 14:10and anything which hath not fins and scales ye do not eat; unclean it [is] to you.And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you. but whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat: it shall be unclean unto you.
Deuteronomy 14:11`Any clean bird ye do eat;Of all clean birds ye shall eat. All clean birds shall ye eat.
Deuteronomy 14:12and these [are] they of which ye do not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and ossifrage, and the ospray, But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle,
Deuteronomy 14:13and the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after its kind,And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind, and the falcon, and the kite, and the black kite after its kind;
Deuteronomy 14:14and every raven after its kind;And every raven after his kind, and every raven after its kind;
Deuteronomy 14:15and the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after its kind;And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, and the female ostrich, and the male ostrich, and the sea-gull, and the hawk after its kind;
Deuteronomy 14:16the [little] owl, and the [great] owl, and the swan,The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan, the owl, and the ibis and the swan,
Deuteronomy 14:17and the pelican, and the gier-eagle, and the cormorant,And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant, and the pelican, and the carrion vulture, and the gannet,
Deuteronomy 14:18and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the lapwing, and the bat;And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
Deuteronomy 14:19and every teeming thing which is flying, unclean it [is] to you; they are not eaten;And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten. And every winged crawling thing shall be unclean unto you; they shall not be eaten.
Deuteronomy 14:20any clean fowl ye do eat.But of all clean fowls ye may eat. All clean fowls shall ye eat.
Deuteronomy 14:21`Ye do not eat of any carcase; to the sojourner who [is] within thy gates thou dost give it, and he hath eaten it; or sell [it] to a stranger; for a holy people thou [art] to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother`s milk.Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk. Ye shall eat of no carcase; thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is within thy gates, that he may eat it, or sell it unto a foreigner; for thou art a holy people to Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
Deuteronomy 14:22`Thou dost certainly tithe all the increase of thy seed which the field is bringing forth year by year;Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, the produce of the field, year by year.
Deuteronomy 14:23and thou hast eaten before Jehovah thy God, in the place where He doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle, the tithe of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd, and of thy flock, so that thou dost learn to fear Jehovah thy God all the days.And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always. And thou shalt eat before Jehovah thy God, in the place which he will choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear Jehovah thy God continually.
Deuteronomy 14:24`And when the way is too much for thee, that thou art not able to carry it when the place is too far off from thee which Jehovah thy God doth choose to put His name there, when Jehovah thy God doth bless thee;And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which Jehovah thy God will choose to set his name there, when Jehovah thy God blesseth thee;
Deuteronomy 14:25then thou hast given [it] in money, and hast bound up the money in thy hand, and gone unto the place on which Jehovah thy God doth fix;Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: then shalt thou give it for money, and bind the money together in thy hand, and go to the place which Jehovah thy God will choose,
Deuteronomy 14:26and thou hast given the money for any thing which thy soul desireth, for oxen, and for sheep, and for wine, and for strong drink, and for any thing which thy soul asketh, and thou hast eaten there before Jehovah thy God, and thou hast rejoiced, thou and thy house.And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household, and thou shalt give the money for whatever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever thy soul asketh of thee; and thou shalt eat there before Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thy house.
Deuteronomy 14:27As to the Levite who [is] within thy gates, thou dost not forsake him, for he hath no portion and inheritance with thee.And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee. And thou shalt not forsake the Levite that is within thy gates; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee.
Deuteronomy 14:28`At the end of three years thou dost bring out all the tithe of thine increase in that year, and hast placed [it] within thy gates;At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates;
Deuteronomy 14:29and come in hath the Levite (for he hath no part and inheritance with thee), and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within thy gates, and they have eaten, and been satisfied, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou dost.And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest. and the Levite for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou doest.
