| 3rd-John 1:1 | The Elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth! | The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. | The Elder to his dear friend Gaius. Truly I love you. |
| 3rd-John 1:2 | beloved, concerning all things I desire thee to prosper, and to be in health, even as thy soul doth prosper, | Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. | My dear friend, I pray that you may in all respects prosper and enjoy good health, just as your soul already prospers. |
| 3rd-John 1:3 | for I rejoiced exceedingly, brethren coming and testifying of the truth in thee, even as thou in truth dost walk; | For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. | For it is an intense joy to me when brethren come and bear witness to your fidelity to the truth that you live in obedience to the truth. |
