| Luke 24:1 | And on the first of the sabbaths, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bearing the spices they made ready, and certain [others] with them, | Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. | And, on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices they had prepared. |
| Luke 24:2 | and they found the stone having been rolled away from the tomb, | And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. | But they found the stone rolled back from the tomb, |

"The things about Jesus the Nazarene," they said, "who was a Prophet powerful in work and word before God and all the people; |
| Luke 24:20 | how also the chief priests and our rulers did deliver him up to a judgment of death, and crucified him; | And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. | and how our High Priests and Rulers delivered Him up to be sentenced to death, and crucified Him. |
| Luke 24:21 | and we were hoping that he it is who is about to redeem Israel, and also with all these things, this third day is passing to-day, since these things happened. | But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. | But we were hoping that it was He who was about to ransom Israel. Feel me and see, for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see I have." |
