| Luke 7:1 | And when he completed all his sayings in the ears of the people, he went into Capernaum; | Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. | After He had finished teaching all these things in the hearing of the people, He went into Capernaum. |
| Luke 7:2 | and a certain centurion`s servant being ill, was about to die, who was much valued by him, | And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. | Here the servant of a certain Captain, a man dear to his master, was ill and at the point of death; |

A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. | But what did you go out to see? A man wearing luxurious clothes? People who are gorgeously dressed and live in luxury are found in palaces. |
