Matthew 24:1And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.
Matthew 24:2and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.`And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. But he answered them, "Don't you see all of these things? Most assuredly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down."
Matthew 24:3And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?`And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?"
Matthew 24:4And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray,And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Jesus answered them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray.
Matthew 24:5for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray.
Matthew 24:6and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet.And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren't troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7`For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.
Matthew 24:8and all these [are] the beginning of sorrows;All these are the beginning of sorrows. But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.
Matthew 24:9then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Then they will deliver you up to oppression, and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name's sake.
Matthew 24:10and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Then will many stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.
Matthew 24:11`And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.
Matthew 24:12and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.
Matthew 24:13but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.
Matthew 24:14and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:15`Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
Matthew 24:16then those in Judea let them flee to the mounts;Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Matthew 24:17he on the house-top let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house.
Matthew 24:18and he in the field let him not turn back to take his garments.Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
Matthew 24:19`And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!
Matthew 24:20and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath,
Matthew 24:21for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. for then will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.
Matthew 24:22And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened.
Matthew 24:23`Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Then if any man will tell you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or, 'There,' don't believe it.
Matthew 24:24for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. For there will arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24:25Lo, I did tell you beforehand.Behold, I have told you before. Behold, I have told you beforehand.
Matthew 24:26`If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. If therefore they tell you, 'Behold, he is in the wilderness!' don't go out; 'Behold, he is in the inner chambers,' don't believe it.
Matthew 24:27for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as the lightning comes forth from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:28for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. For wherever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together.
Matthew 24:29`And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
Matthew 24:30and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:31and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. He will send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Matthew 24:32`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer [is] nigh,Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: "Now from the fig tree learn her parable. When its branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near.
Matthew 24:33so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh at the doors.So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Matthew 24:34Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Most assuredly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.
Matthew 24:35The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
Matthew 24:36`And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known not even the messengers of the heavens except my Father only;But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Matthew 24:37and as the days of Noah so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. As the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:38for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:39and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. and they didn't know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:40Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Then will two men be in the field: one is taken, and one is left;
Matthew 24:41two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. two women grinding at the mill, one is taken, and one is left.
Matthew 24:42`Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Watch therefore, for you don't know in what hour your Lord comes.
Matthew 24:43and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
Matthew 24:44because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don't expect, the Son of Man will come.
Matthew 24:45`Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?
Matthew 24:46Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.
Matthew 24:47verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. Most assuredly I tell you, that he will set him over all that he has.
Matthew 24:48`And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; But if that evil servant should say in his heart, 'My lord is delaying his coming,'
Matthew 24:49and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; and began to beat his fellow-servants, and eat and drink with the drunken,
Matthew 24:50the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn't expect it, and in an hour when he doesn't know it,
Matthew 24:51and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. and will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.
