Mark 3:1And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was there a man having the hand withered,At another time, when He went to the synagogue, there was a man there with one arm shrivelled up.And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
Mark 3:2and they were watching him, whether on the sabbaths he will heal him, that they might accuse him.They closely watched Him to see whether He would cure him on the Sabbath so as to have a charge to bring against Him.And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
Mark 3:3And he saith to the man having the hand withered, `Rise up in the midst.`"Come forward," said He to the man with the shrivelled arm.And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
Mark 3:4And he saith to them, `Is it lawful on the sabbaths to do good, or to do evil? life to save, or to kill?` but they were silent.Then He asked them, "Are we allowed to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil? to save a life, or to destroy one?" They remained silent.And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
Mark 3:5And having looked round upon them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their heart, he saith to the man, `Stretch forth thy hand;` and he stretched forth, and his hand was restored whole as the other;Grieved and indignant at the hardening of their hearts, He looked round on them with anger, and said to the man, "Stretch out your arm." He stretched it out, and the arm was completely restored.And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Mark 3:6and the Pharisees having gone forth, immediately, with the Herodians, were taking counsel against him how they might destroy him.But no sooner had the Pharisees left the synagogue than they held a consultation with the Herodians against Jesus, to devise some means of destroying Him.And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Mark 3:7And Jesus withdrew with his disciples unto the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judea,Accordingly Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the Lake, and a vast crowd of people from Galilee followed Him;But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
Mark 3:8and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon a great multitude having heard how great things he was doing, came unto him.and from Judaea and Jerusalem and Idumaea and from beyond the Jordan and from the district of Tyre and Sidon there came to Him a vast crowd, hearing of all that He was doing.And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
Mark 3:9And he said to his disciples that a little boat may wait on him, because of the multitude, that they may not press upon him,So He gave directions to His disciples to keep a small boat in constant attendance on Him because of the throng to prevent their crushing Him.And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
Mark 3:10for he did heal many, so that they threw themselves on him, in order to touch him as many as had plagues;For He had cured many of the people, so that all who had any ailments pressed upon Him, to touch Him.For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
Mark 3:11and the unclean spirits, when they were seeing him, were falling down before him, and were crying, saying `Thou art the Son of God;`And the foul spirits, whenever they saw Him, threw themselves down at His feet, screaming out: "You are the Son of God."And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Mark 3:12and many times he was charging them that they might not make him manifest.But He many a time checked them, forbidding them to say who He was.And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
Mark 3:13And he goeth up to the mountain, and doth call near whom he willed, and they went away to him;Then He went up the hill; and those whom He Himself chose He called, and they came to Him.And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
Mark 3:14and he appointed twelve, that they may be with him, and that he may send them forth to preach,He appointed twelve of them, that they might be with Him, and that He might also send them to proclaim His Message,And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
Mark 3:15and to have power to heal the sicknesses, and to cast out the demons.with authority to expel the demons.And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
Mark 3:16And he put on Simon the name Peter;These twelve were Simon (to whom He gave the surname of Peter),And Simon he surnamed Peter;
Mark 3:17and James of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, and he put on them names Boanerges, that is, `Sons of thunder;`James the son of Zabdi and John the brother of James (these two He surnamed Boanerges, that is `Sons of Thunder'),And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
Mark 3:18and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananite,Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananaean,And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
Mark 3:19and Judas Iscariot, who did also deliver him up; and they come into a house.and Judas Iscariot, the man who also betrayed Him.And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
Mark 3:20And come together again doth a multitude, so that they are not able even to eat bread;And He went into a house. But again the crowd assembled, so that there was no opportunity for them even to snatch a meal.And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
Mark 3:21and his friends having heard, went forth to lay hold on him, for they said that he was beside himself,Hearing of this, His relatives came to seize Him by force, for they said, "He is out of his mind."And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
Mark 3:22and the scribes who [are] from Jerusalem having come down, said `He hath Beelzeboul,` and `By the ruler of the demons he doth cast out the demons.`The Scribes, too, who had come down from Jerusalem said, "He has Baal-zebul in him; and it is by the power of the Prince of the demons that he expels the demons."And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
Mark 3:23And, having called them near, in similes he said to them, `How is the Adversary able to cast out the Adversary?So He called them to Him, and using figurative language He appealed to them, saying, "How is it possible for Satan to expel Satan?And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mark 3:24and if a kingdom against itself be divided, that kingdom cannot be made to stand;For if civil war breaks out in a kingdom, nothing can make that kingdom last;And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Mark 3:25and if a house against itself be divided, that house cannot be made to stand;and if a family splits into parties, that family cannot continue.And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Mark 3:26and if the Adversary did rise against himself, and hath been divided, he cannot be made to stand, but hath an end.So if Satan has risen in arms and has made war upon himself, stand he cannot, but meets his end.And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mark 3:27`No one is able the vessels of the strong man having entered into his house to spoil, if first he may not bind the strong man, and then his house he will spoil.Nay, no one can go into a strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Mark 3:28`Verily I say to you, that all the sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and evil speakings with which they might speak evil,In solemn truth I tell you that all their sins may be pardoned to the sons of men, and all their blasphemies, however they may have blasphemed;Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
Mark 3:29but whoever may speak evil in regard to the Holy Spirit hath not forgiveness to the age, but is in danger of age-during judgment;`but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, he remains for ever unabsolved: he is guilty of a sin of the Ages."But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Mark 3:30because they said, `He hath an unclean spirit.`This was because they said, "He is possessed by a foul spirit."Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Mark 3:31Then come do his brethren and mother, and standing without, they sent unto him, calling him,By this time His mother and His brothers arrive, and standing outside they send a message to Him to call Him.There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
Mark 3:32and a multitude was sitting about him, and they said to him, `Lo, thy mother and thy brethren without do seek thee.`Now a crowd was sitting round Him; so they tell Him, "Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, inquiring for you."And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
Mark 3:33And he answered them, saying, `Who is my mother, or my brethren?`"Who are my mother and my brothers?" He replied.And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
Mark 3:34And having looked round in a circle to those sitting about him, he saith, `Lo, my mother and my brethren!And, fixing His eyes on the people who were sitting round Him in a circle, He said,And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Mark 3:35for whoever may do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.`"Here are my mother and my brothers. For wherever there is one who has been obedient to God, there is my brother my sister and my mother."For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
