Matthew 22:2`The reign of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made marriage-feasts for his son,"The Kingdom of the Heavens," He said, "may be compared to a king who celebrated the marriage of his son,The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
Matthew 22:3and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the marriage-feasts, and they were not willing to come.and sent his servants to call the invited guests to the wedding, but they were unwilling to come. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Matthew 22:4`Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Lo, my dinner I prepared, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come ye to the marriage-feasts;"Again he sent other servants with a message to those who were invited. "`My breakfast is now ready," he said, `my bullocks and fat cattle are killed, and every preparation is made: come to the wedding.'Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
Matthew 22:5and they, having disregarded [it], went away, the one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;"They however gave no heed, but went, one to his home in the country, another to his business; But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
Matthew 22:6and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, did insult and slay [them].and the rest seized the king's servants, maltreated them, and murdered them. And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
Matthew 22:7`And the king having heard, was wroth, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;So the king's anger was stirred, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burnt their city. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
Matthew 22:8then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,Then he said to his servants, "`The wedding banquet is ready, but those who were invited were unworthy of it.Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
Matthew 22:9be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as ye may find, call ye to the marriage-feasts.Go out therefore to the crossroads, and everybody you meet invite to the wedding.'Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
Matthew 22:10`And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, did gather all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the marriage-feast apartment was filled with those reclining."So they went out into the roads and gathered together all they could find, both bad and good, and the banqueting hall was filled with guests. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
Matthew 22:11`And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with clothing of the marriage-feast,"Now the king came in to see the guests; and among them he discovered one who was not wearing a wedding-robe.And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
Matthew 22:12and he saith to him, Comrade, how didst thou come in hither, not having clothing of the marriage-feast? and he was speechless."`My friend,' he said, `how is it that you came in here without a wedding robe?'And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Matthew 22:13`Then said the king to the ministrants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth to the outer darkness, there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;"The man stood speechless. Then the king said to the servants, "`Bind him hand and foot and fling him into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping aloud and the gnashing of teeth.'Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22:17tell us, therefore, what dost thou think? is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?`Give us your judgement therefore: is it allowable for us to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?"Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Matthew 22:18And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, `Why me do ye tempt, hypocrites?Perceiving their wickedness, Jesus replied, "Why are you hypocrites trying to ensnare me?But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
