| Mark 16:1 | And the sabbath having past, Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of James, and Salome, bought spices, that having come, they may anoint him, | When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, in order to come and anoint His body. | And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. |
| Mark 16:2 | and early in the morning of the first of the sabbaths, they come unto the sepulchre, at the rising of the sun, | So, very soon after sunrise on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb; | And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun: |
| Mark 16:3 | and they said among themselves, `Who shall roll away for us the stone out of the door of the sepulchre?` | and they were saying to one another, `Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?" | And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher? |
| Mark 16:4 | And having looked, they see that the stone hath been rolled away for it was very great, | But then, looking up, they saw that the stone was already rolled back: for it was of immense size. | (And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away) for it was very great. |
| Mark 16:5 | and having entered into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right hand, arrayed in a long white robe, and they were amazed. | Upon entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at their right hand, clothed in a long white robe.
