| 1st-John 2:1 | My little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin: and if any one may sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one, | Dear children, I write thus to you in order that you may not sin. If any one sins, we have an Advocate with the Father Jesus Christ the righteous; | My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. |
| 1st-John 2:2 | and he he is a propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world, | and He is an atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. | And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. |
