| 2nd-Peter 2:1 | And there did come also false prophets among the people, as also among you there shall be false teachers, who shall bring in besides destructive sects, and the Master who bought them denying, bringing to themselves quick destruction, | But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be teachers of falsehood among you also, who will cunningly introduce fatal divisions, disowning even the Sovereign Lord who has redeemed them, and bringing on themselves swift destruction. | But there also arose false prophets among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. |
| 2nd-Peter 2:2 | and many shall follow out their destructive ways, because of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of, | And in their immoral ways they will have many eager disciples, through whom religion will be brought into disrepute. | Many will follow their destructive ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. |
